 Tasted by Ltrain1282 on 11/13/2021 & rated 80 points: Premoxed (1314 views)
Tasted by CamWheeler on 9/23/2020 & rated 89 points: SLDS - September 2020 #2: Smoke, hay and toasty caramel. Oxidative palate, with a twang of tang going through. Complexity here, but it's on the tipping point. (1620 views)
Tasted by mreinhard74@gmail.com on 12/25/2019 flawed bottle: Pre-oxed (1803 views)
Tasted by mreinhard74@gmail.com on 7/7/2019 & rated 94 points: Still excellent. Honeysuckle and white flowers. Lovely. Peaking. No reason to wait on this. (1923 views)
Tasted by sunalsorises on 6/11/2019 & rated 95 points: Color is still light for 15 year old wine. Drinking beautifully with good depth and acidity. Excellent. (1917 views)
Tasted by mreinhard74@gmail.com on 12/21/2018 & rated 93 points: Mirabelle holiday lunch. Based on earlier reviews was worried about pre-ox but this bottle is drinking beautifully. Almost herbaceous on the nose but the palate has minerals and ultra ripe fruit. (1475 views)
Tasted by Kiranonwine on 8/30/2018 flawed bottle: PremOx sadly! (1499 views)
Tasted by jsebiri on 8/10/2018: Very nice, Apples, fine French Chard, enjoy now (1236 views)
Tasted by ashegedyn on 6/23/2017 flawed bottle: I had high expectations. This bottle was perfectly kept after purchasing at retail in a wine fridge. Color was light straw when poured but when I approached this wine the nose gave up that cidery premox aroma. What a horrible shame. This was just a huge waste of money and storage. 04 should be drinking perfectly at this point. Just horrible premox. First experience of Jadot premox on a Grand Cru level. I have had some Pernand over the hill but the first CC. I empathise with others that have wasted great sums on have this flaw. I am on a much smaller scale with my spending but it hurts as much. (1759 views)
Tasted by Goldstone on 5/26/2016 & rated 92 points: Dinner at Seasons (Seasons By Olivier E., 3/F, Two Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong): Light straw-gold colour. Nose of burnt tennis balls, grilled lemon skins and slightly sewagey seawater...... an older nose that I expected for a 2004. Palate is sweet light honey and acacia with some lovely rounded fresh honeycomb but balanced by good acidity...very balanced. It just kept getting mellower and more rounded with a couple of hours in the glass....somehow managing to get both heavier and lighter and more and more resonant and reverberant on the finish. Beautifully honeyed, rich and open - I wouldn't keep this any longer. Thanks, Daniel! (2932 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 5/16/2015 flawed bottle: Wines Tasted at HDH Auction (Tru Restaurant - Chicago IL): This had been open several hours when poured for me, but clearly over-the-hill and well past its prime. (3746 views)
Tasted by BobJohnson1 on 4/20/2014: Over ripe and getting old too soon (4008 views)
Tasted by BobJohnson1 on 4/18/2014: Drink up. This bottle was fully mature and on downslope. Big and thick and for my taste lacking acidity. (3852 views)
Tasted by Margauxguy on 8/22/2012 & rated 93 points: A much better bottle, tight, citrus oil, a touch stony, giving way to a bit of fat and richness mid palate. Opens, and delivers oak and sweetness on the mid/back palate. Not unbalanced, but may never achieve Corton greatness, but very good. Deficient in rich, oily, palate coating yum yum (4364 views)
Tasted by Margauxguy on 6/18/2012 & rated 88 points: A previous reviewer mentioned possible pre mix issues. Would have tp agree, although not possible, Devi ate with this bottle, dark, walnut, overripe tropical fruits. Too bad (3736 views)
Tasted by lepetitchateau on 6/7/2012 & rated 93 points: Almost exactly one year since the last tasting note on this wine, and also from magnum, this has evolved quite nicely and is mature now, or enough mature for my taste. It has retained its classy nose (love the reference to marmalade and lemon tones). On the palate this is quite full and endowed, sporting good qunatities of fruit and a dose of minerality balanced by an almost enough amount of acidity. (3201 views)
Tasted by KeithAkers on 6/10/2011 & rated 92 points: nose: classy and rich nose filled with warm oil tones, marmalade, lemon tones, and a good dose of mineral tones along with white florals

taste: full bodied with refreshing medium+ acidity backed up by rich and creamy tones of marmalade, lemons, minerals, bits of warm oils and butter along with bits of white florals

overall: this is drinking very well right now. Its on the younger side and has a light yellow/gold color. This was showing very well straight off of pop n pour. This bottle definitely comes off as being a couple of years from being where it really needs to be (3268 views)
Tasted by darvid on 1/9/2011: From magnum. Lovely tulip-tinged yellow. Fresh ginger and bouillon on the nose. Cool, restrained Chardonnay with driving soil character and a floral note. Acid of the vintage is well buffered by the material. Young, and at least in this format, needs another couple of years to unwind. (3598 views)
Tasted by vinedresser75 on 7/31/2010 & rated 93 points: Very Very Nice. Loong Finish. Rich, full, a bit of acidity, a bit buttery, a bit lemony, a bit minerally, a bit nutty. Toasty oak. Great Chardonnay with bit of everything. (3213 views)
Tasted by Sijan on 6/25/2010: Very funky and odd. Lots of pine needle and sour citrus. Somewhat oily, quite acidic. A very different white wine. Not my favorite, but interesting, I guess. (2968 views)
Tasted by Ali2615 on 4/18/2010 & rated 91 points: cheesy and funky, lighter style, lemon, citrus, woody, nutty

Barrel aged 14 months. (2787 views)
Tasted by dschneersohn on 2/6/2010 & rated 89 points: Nice Gold straw colour, and a very beautiful honeysuckle flavour. Nice brioche (butter and roasted hazelnuts) and a little yeast. Quite pleasant on the palate, still fresh and possibly young and not fully open. Plenty of potential tough. (2212 views)
Tasted by def on 2/6/2010: still young, should develop nicely (3374 views)
Tasted by Goldstone on 2/5/2010 & rated 88 points: Blind White Burgundy Dinner (Chez Patrick, Sun Street, Hong Kong): Goldeny light straw colour. Nose is of thick petrol, some weight, slightly yeasty, a touch of box wood. The initial palate is remniscent of smoke in Chinese temples, very smoky element and with very rich honeysuckle like on a damp hot English summer evening in the garden. But the middle and end palate drops very flat to nettles. A touch of prem-ox? That said, everyone else liked this a lot more than me. This wine confused me. (2475 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
