Tasted by Jlafin on 12/24/2023 & rated 92 points: Deg 2018

Yes! Fint mogen nu. Sv vinbär, äpplen och blyertspenna- på det bra sättet!
Magisk doft av mogna gula äpplen, brioche och lite lite ek. Lång lång eftersmak. En favorit! (1046 views)
Tasted by peternelson on 10/25/2023 & rated 94 points: Absolutely stunning, and caught it at the right trajectory.Lovely biscuit and yeast nose with a hint of caramel; rich, full, but with nice balance and poise. More caramel, wet forest floor, nugat, long tasty finish. So nice with the richer toro sushi and others. Osen Omakase w/J&A (1415 views)
Tasted by adnorthup on 9/28/2023: 2014 base, disgorged Feb2019 with 1.5 g/l dosage. sweet pear, yuzu, spice, ginger, lime. Showijg a bit of the slight oxidative notes I get from Jacquesson, some caramel on the finish. Even better and more complex on day 2. This is one for the long haul. (1562 views)
Tasted by Tordenmalm on 4/1/2023 & rated 85 points: Still too young in my opinion. (2305 views)
Tasted by Papies on 3/25/2023 & rated 90 points: A good all rounder. 2019 disgorgement with 1.5 g/ based on the 2014 vintage .
Polished round and welcoming albeit fails to strike the top end of a champagne level. Good wine for sure and solid 90 (2276 views)
 Tasted by dennytam@dennytam.com on 1/24/2023 & rated 91 points: A bit surprised it scored 91.4 (2258 views)
Tasted by chbeaumont on 1/14/2023 & rated 85 points: (From magnum). All rather ordinary. Decent enough, pleasant - without any real interest. (2145 views)
Tasted by A1002 on 12/31/2022 & rated 93 points: The aromas are evolving - now you get some very exotic flowery elements. And the palate gets even more round and immediately appealing. This is only getting better and I think it is entering its prime. (1792 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 9/27/2022: Crisp, dry, medium weight, bitter citrus. Excellent, still youthful. (2894 views)
Tasted by Frank Murray III on 8/27/2022: Last of 3. July 2018 disgorgement and 1.5 gms of dosage. Really good bottle here. Pear, red berry, saline and some buscuit. Good tension and a cleansing quality here that makes the finish tasty and tangy. (2967 views)
Tasted by ThijsV on 7/10/2022 & rated 91 points: [Holiday @ Domaine Bessiere] Based on 2014 harvest, disgorged in 2018. Citrus, bread dough, pear, ripe gooseberry. High acidity, Long finish. Great champagne @ €56 (2900 views)
Tasted by evjoh on 7/3/2022: Mine was disgorged March 2019 and I thought the bottle age would help tame the acid. It didn't, and reactions were meh, but once we ate it with grilled pork belly we understood it and loved it. The acid relieved us from the fat and outlasted it. Super fine mouthfeel from long lees contact.

I'd love to hold a bottle for a few years to see what this turns into. At $100 though, it's a tough sell. (2727 views)
Tasted by Rouyi on 7/1/2022 & rated 91 points: Very nice mineral and fruity expression. (2605 views)
Tasted by paintinginacave on 4/15/2022 & rated 92 points: From the 2014 vintage. A blend of 59% Pinot Noir from Aÿ, Dizy and Hautvillers and 41% Chardonnay from Avize and Oiry. The blend is completed with the addition of some reserve wines. Dosage is 1.5 grams per litre.

Pours a pale gold. Yeasty with white florals, preserved lemons, and a minerality reminiscent of polished steel. The palate bursts alive where the low dosage - which this house is known for - and extended lees ageing combine to deliver a wonderful combination where the wine is both clean, pure, and precise yet retains a ripe, concentrated core of orchard fruits and roasted almonds. A Champagne with superb energy and tension. (2835 views)
Tasted by Bluespolo on 12/31/2021 & rated 92 points: Uve principalmente del 2014 da cru, tre anni sui lieviti e un dosaggio di 1,5 g/l. Poco impegno di vini di riserva.

Subito piacevolissimo, floreale e agrumato, poi nocciole, erbe, ginestra e frutta polposa. finissimo e minerale. Struttura, sapidità, ottimo dinamismo ma anche maturità. Bella lunghezza. L’ho trovato più pronto di altre edizioni della serie 700 che ho assaggiato in passato.
Sta a cavallo tra un sans année ed un vintage categoria di cui ha molte caratteristiche e probabilmente il livello qualitativo. (3235 views)
Tasted by Rallerboy888 on 12/20/2021 & rated 88 points: I honestly wasn't too impressed this time around. It seemed a little oxidised, and the mousse was lacking somewhat. While it was tasty, it didn't live up to its price or its peers. Maybe it was a little premoxed. (3059 views)
Tasted by nynrgtrader@gmail.com on 12/19/2021: Just Dynamite wine....always (2913 views)
Tasted by KeithAkers on 12/10/2021 & rated 92 points: Jacquesson Night (Canard and Willamette Wine Storage, Portland OR): Nose: The nose is lifted and fragrant with red apples, pears, yellow flowers, nectarines, meyer lemons, saline, brioche, biscuits, vanilla frosting, baking spices, and pastry dough. There is a bit of an electric quality to the fruit that is immediate and enjoyable.

Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with crisp, high acidity. The acidity has a bit of youthful sting to it, but it isn't overpowering. The feel is fresh and vibrant with red apples, pears, meyer lemons, nectarines, yellow flowers, saline, biscuits, vanilla frosting, baking spices, and pastry dough.

Overall: If the 740 and 741 are any guide, if you want something more fresh and electric, drink this now. But, this will also clearly benefit from at least another 3+ years and it should develop further as long as it remains untouched during that time. (3088 views)
(2838 views)
Tasted by Orange Tsian on 10/5/2021 & rated 92 points: 92/100 (2439 views)
Tasted by cnichelson on 9/12/2021 & rated 92 points: Creamy mouthfeel with brioche and an interesting red fruit (strawberry) note on the pallet. Like a brioche with strawberry jam. Then good acidity and minerality and lemon on the finish. Excellent! (3574 views)
Tasted by sirpat00 on 7/9/2021 & rated 92 points: Mineral, pear, green apple and just a bit of salad seasoning. Very little toast. Fresh, mineral and citric fruit. Nice in its freshness, with some details to it – but again not living up to the 743. (3786 views)
Tasted by Hojun-na-Wine on 7/3/2021: Creamy brioche, hay, wet cedar, ripe apple on the nose. A rich, oxidative style of champagne similar to Bollinger, Krug, anf BS Cuvée Nicolas-Francois.

It’s a quality bottle, but seeing the comments from others saying the 743 is better, I’m curious to try that one to see how it compares.

If I were to buy more bottles of this, I’d want at least five more years of aging to let the oak notes integrate. (3785 views)
Tasted by Cailles on 6/23/2021 & rated 92 points: This is a very solid entry level Champagne, more on the lean and crispy side. I‘ve had the 743 a few weeks before which outshined this one as it had more fruit and sweetness to balance the very mineral and citrus component. I clearly prefer the 743 from the hot 2015 vintage (rated 94+ points) and would focus on rather hot vintages for this cuvee.

TN: Medium intense nose with minerality and citrus notes. On the palate a touch more layered with citrus, dark fruits, minerality. Lean and crispy but with enough creaminess to give a pleasent and round mouthfeel. Well integrated acidity and good length.

Decanting: Not decanted, no decanting needed. It opened-up quickly in the glass. (4192 views)
Tasted by Zweder on 6/16/2021 & rated 91 points: In the bouquet brioche and green apples. On the palate focused citrus acidity, brioche and ok bitterness, ripe apples and a good length. Firm wine with a slight and pleasant touch of sweetness. (3958 views)

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
