Hosted by the Washington Tasters Guild, this was a real treat provided to me by Tim and the great folks at Weygandt Wines in Washington, DC.
Pan Seared Chesapeake Rockfish, Parisienne Cantaloupe, Honey Dew and
Watermelon, Citrus Emulsion and Coriander
Marcel’s Classic Boudin Blanc, Celery Root Purée,
Truffle Red Wine Essence
Medallions of Veal Tenderloin, Yukon Gold Potato Purée, Asparagus
and Morel Mushroom Cream Sauce
2005 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Clos Saint Philibert Blanc 88 Points
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits
Very faint pear blossom nose, crisp pear skin and lime on the palate. Once this warmed, it was less reticent, and its finish was impressively long and crisp, but it didn't really say much beforehand.
