Medium ruby core, with some garnet and fading edges. Very classic alluring aromas of black cherry, sundried tomato, black pepper, wood smoke, leather, and moss. Rounded tannins and bright acids, with a silky mouthfeel and flavours of ripe black cherry and cassis, then tomato, moss, violets, and cedar. Extremely long finish, with fruits, greens, spices, and smoke coming back in waves. Very complex! Truly as great as what Palmer can ever be!
Deep ruby with a slight garnet hue, and thick legs. Violet floral aromas, with ripe blackberry and black cherry, moss and black pepper and cinnamon. Very fresh blackberry and cassis fruits on the palate, then tomato, black pepper, paprika, and nutmeg and dried grass. This grassy feel further extends to the backpalate, along with the fruits and savoury meats, to a very lengthy finish. Great wine!
Medium deep ruby, with very visible stain on glass. Nose that was rather restrained at first, then has some fruits and oak spice. A big bite on the tannins, whilst quite intense with medium ripe cherry, then grass, twigs, and forest floor. Can see the challenge of the vintage, and that it still seems a bit closed off. May need a few more years to open up, but quite unsure of how much better it can be
Deep ruby, with thick legs and visible stain on glass. A rather powerful and expansive nose, with ripe blackberry and cassis aromas, and even very slightly Portish, also with cut grass and mint, and some florals. Chewy tannins, whilst with very ripe cassis and blackberry, even nearly candied, as well as dried grass and florals, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper. Quite lengthy at the back. Nice, but I believe it should get much better with another 10-15 years cellaring
Medium deep ruby, thick legs, and very visible stain on glass. A rather full nose, of voluptuous ripe blackberry and plum, and some menthol. Similar fleshy mouthfeel of ripe plum, cut grass, violets, black pepper, and a hint of savoury meats, whilst tannins providing a bite
