Very nice nose of meyer lemons, seashells, saline, and butterscotch. Took a while to really develop in the glass, but it rounded into a very nice glass of chardonnay. The citrus component of the wine matured from sweeter meyer lemon to a more acidic type. Really nice. Overall, a nice entry level Chassagne that will probably develop some tertiary flavors over the next 3-5 years.
Remarkably this bottle was found in my girlfriend's grandmothers fridge. It had been purchased upon release and stored in 40 degree conditions since then...hasn't been touched or moved in all this time! The color is a light ruby color...very light. Upon opening the nose had strong prune and raisin flavors. The palate was quite thin, but wasn't BAD. Lots of raisins, tart strawberry and not much else. Nice experiment, but nothing special.
Beautiful salmon color. Aromatic nose of rose petals, sous bois, crushed rocks, and melon. Continues to impress me how well these bottles show...for my money, this is the best Rose in the world.
Nose has lots of pineapple juice with petrol. There's also lingering spicy oak, meyer lemon, and crushed rocks. The one thing stopping this from being 1-3 points higher for me is the heat...just a touch hot. For those of you cellaring this bottle, hang on for a couple more years, my guess is that with some age the heat will lessen a bit.
Decanted for 2 hours before first tasting. Very closed nose with hints of alcohol, dried roses, charcoal, and sour cherry peeking through. Disappointing nose at first.Developed a bit over the 4 hours it was drank to exhibit slight pencil shavings, light cranberry, and a hint of truffles. Overall, I'm disappointed. Had hoped it would show better tonight, but I suppose judging GPL at such a young age can be tough.
Hot nose off the bat. Coffee, caramel, and mocha are the dominant aromas with subtle cranberry and raspberry in the background. Great mouthfeel - and quite big! Dominated by bing cherries, raspberries, sweet tobacco and cloves - seemed to me a modern style of Bordeaux.

Lots of strawberry and minerals. Not too exciting.
