The wine looks pink colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit, lime and baker's yeast. It tastes like strawberry, raspberry, red currant, grapefruit, lemon, lime, apple, peach, apple blossom, baker's yeast, biscuity and leesy. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Gorgeous salmon pink in the glass with a nose of unripe strawberries, some toasted character, and a citrus character like lemon or grapefruit. On the palate the wine is refreshing and vibrant with a lovely mouthfeel from smooth bubbles, fresh acidity, and notes of lemon, strawberry, and pear. Not exceedingly complex but still a lovely sparkling rose, and fair value.

bright salmon color, soft nose of citrus and berry, on the palate light yet plush in its way with a hint of cream, berry notes, genteel finish, very pretty and an exceptional selection in its price range.

This continues to be nice bubbly. The color is good, a copper tinted pink, of medium darkness. On the palate and nose the wine is quite linear; a bit chalky and hard on the palate with no brioche / yeast, but good acidity. We retain our rating of 90 pts.
Sadly the price of this has increased dramatically for us, around $26 now. It was an incredible bargain at $15 a few years ago: now it is still not bad value but not great either.

Pale, cool pink colour. Nice, full aroma, reminds me of good pinot-dominated champagnes (I presume this has pinot noir in it?). Chewy, slightly caramelly, a touch of grilled blood orange. Sweeter than expected, but quite balanced. Clean, pretty good fruit, a little strawberry emerges after a time. Not a showstopper but drinks well and a pretty good price. The next day, still ok although a touch of bitterness has crept in. [Cork + cage; 12% abv; Sainsbury's, reduced from £15 to £12].

Very nice rose cremant, both tart & sweet fruit, cherry blossom, some orange pith. Maybe just a tad sweet on the dosage, but nonetheless a very nice offering and very smooth with no bite on the finish, a plus for us.

Champagne may have the prestige, not to mention the high prices required to access said prestige, but for excellence at the nexus of quality and value there are the various regional crémants made by the same traditional method. And this Crémant de Bourgogne, from sparkling wine expert Louis Bouillot in Nuits-St-Georges, is just that, a superb value at just around $20 in Ontario. A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gamay, aged for just 12 months, it shows a medium orange-tinted pink hue, an elegant mousse, and notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, orange, rose (and generally vague florality), and minerals (including Cava-like olive brine), along with light yeasty, biscuity elements. Overall, there's a nice combination of sweet and tart fruit, and there's a savoury quality that nicely keeps the sweetness in check, but there's a bit too much sour and then bitter (citrus pith) character on the palate, the latter dominating the finish. It's solidly in the 88-89 range, a worthy expression of crémant rosé.

Dry with Strawberry & Red Cherry. Zesty vibrant bubbles. Hint of yeast but plenty of fruit. Well balanced with a creamy dry finish. Would be a fit for any celebration and a match for some higher priced champagnes.

Youthful with medium aroma intensity showing raspberry, strawberry, red apple, pomegranate, with light bready notes.
Sec (maybe too sweet), medium acidity, medium (-) body, persistent mousse, medium (-) finish, with medium flavor intensity of strawberries, red apples, raspebneries, jolly rancher and a bit of “stevia” notes.
Acceptable quality Drink now — not suitable for aging

Not bad. A bit sweet and creamy on the front. Initially, the back felt quite bitter (watermelon) without complexity, but as I drank the bottle, my opinion of the back improved. Watermelon with a certain lingering subtlety. Very nice, especially for the post New year's bargain sale price of $11.

Had for New Year's Eve. Really pleasant. Lots of bright acidity, has a nice creamy texture to it. Big mouth feel. On the nose lots of strawberries and hints of vanilla. Easy drinking wine. Paired it with Vietnamese food on New Years and it really worked well. Wish I had more.

This value sparking was nice, but not spectacular. Pale salmon in color with a bit of orange and melon on the nose. Somewhat lively palette with a bit of strawberry and peach flavor, not quite as dry as I thought it would be. Do not hold onto for long, this probably will not age. A decent value wine for group settings. I have other to try before I buy this one again.

pure pleasure... great reminder of why in evaluating sparkling wine mousse is so important... this mousse is coarser, shorter lasting than longer aged in the bottle sparklers... great clue to the style of the wine before you even take a sip.

My wife brought this home the other day and I greeted it with chagrin: I am no real fan of Crémant from Burgundy. Don’t misunderstand—I love Crémant, but only when it comes from the Jura, Alsace, and (sometimes) Loire. As for the home of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the planet? I have to say I am less than whelmed by the sparkling from the region. That may have just changed. I have had the bubbles from one of the larger producers in Burgundy before, but I was non-plussed. This bottle though? Great strawberry fruit, plenty of acidity, and a sexiness I normally associate with Champagne. Bravo. thedrunkencyclist.com

While it is difficult to tell, I believe that the disgorgement code for this particular bottling is "X0097118." Medium salmon in color and nicely aromatic, it flaunts bright cherry, marzipan and stone fruits on both the nose and palate. Crisply acidic and with nice depth in the middle, it finishes with good length and is a delightful "non-Champagne." Enjoy this well-priced sparkler over the next couple of years. Drink now-2019.

This rose has a rich lovely color and fresh crisp nose. The bubbly was dry and had lots of strawberry in the nose and on the palate. The bubbles were small and plentiful but not long lasting. This is a nice wine and has enough acid that it will pair well with food. As noted by many others, it has a fairly short finish.

This is a nice Champagne alternative for one looking to spend less than $20. Medium-fine mousse, with medium fine strawberry and watermelon flavors (albeit light, not particularly potent flavors) on the palate. A bit of coarseness in bubble and palate tell you it isn't champagne, but good overall.

This was an old bottle; probably 6 years past disgorgement date? Showing slight signs of oxidation, which, when combined with a tiny amount of brett/barnyard, actually made this quite interesting, given it's price point. Probably meant to be consumed much younger, but a good showing nonetheless.

Great sparkling rose here for price...for is in almost perfect balance with fruit/sugar/flavour profile. Nose is nice for the classic slightly yeasty apple/cherry fruit. Palate has nice acidity and fruit that is upfront and not the slight bitter or astringent quality you sometimes get. Just nice cherry/strawberry qualities. Great mix without food or with something a little spicy....

Sweet and yeasty with strong tones of spice cake dough, the nose on this wine is very inviting. A soft edge of raspberry cream desserts and a floral quality show through strongly as well.
The palate is subtle and delicate, with white peach, pear, and golden apples coming through strongly. Mixed flower petals, limestone and something like kumquat show on the mid palate and toward the finish. There is an almost soda water-like freshness to this wine, and the thickness of the mousse is so much that it nearly feels whipped. This is an impressive effort, easily a value at the price, and a wine who’s color and label will make for an excellent addition to a holiday gift basket.
Not much on the nose, hint of earth and pond water. Dry and crisp on the palate, bit of green apple with cherries really coming through on the back end. Long cherry finish, slightly reminiscent of Ludens cough drops. Not at all complex, but very nice for the price point.

This was my post-graduate house wine, back before the rose craze, way before it became acceptable to drink bubbly before or after December 31. Back then the lovely peaches and cream color of this wine gave a real tickle to the everyday pour, my own little Isak Dineson riff when my buddies were drinking beer. In time, this has moved to the status of 'comfort glass.' It's also become a fun thing to mimosa, adding a lovely hue to that overtired Sunday brunch quaff. It is charming with fresh squeezed tangerine juice (for those of us who live in the tropics and have such things growing on trees), intriguing poured over a big juicy fresh peeled lychee, and just plain fun livening up your everyday Kir Royale (ah those long-past days when a Kir Royale in the bar at the Rainbow Room was twentysomething heaven...). Last night we didn't drink this with kir or lychees or tangerines or anything, and no breathless English majors to share it with. Just the obligatory cocktail in a stuffy hotel room, where I was thankful for this oldtime friend.

This is normally my favorite QPR sparkler, but this time the fruit was lacking and there were definite sherry-like notes. It happens to anything that comes with a cork, but this time a buddy in town from London actually liked it - he stopped me from dumping the bottle and finished it himself. I guess what they say about the English palate is true...

Light pink with aggressive large bubbles and a mousse that dissipates quickly. Closed nose --yeast, strawberries, and watermelon. Teeny bit of mushroom. On the palate, this is snappy, a bit rough, and completely refreshing. Acidity is milder than most sparklers. Very enjoyable and a good price.

Nose of watermelons and fresh strawberries, in the mouth lively acidity and somewhat sharp mouthfeel, with strawberries carrying through. Too sparkling for me.

OC Wine Dinner--"Pair This" (Antonello In Costa Mesa): One bottle of the two was corked but like the Roederer, the non-corked bottle went fast with the appetizers. Thanks Paul for bringing both the bubblies for the group.

This bottle was "off". A very reticent nose with a thin acidic palate. Very low effervescence. I'm not sure what the flaw is. Perhaps very slightly corked though I didn't pick that up on the nose. If I had to guess, I think the seal on the cork failed and let some carbonation out and some air in. If scored, this would be somewhere around 75 but I know the wine can be much better than this. A disappointing finish to my case but I'll be ordering more and hope that the new bottles are more like previous ones.

What can I say? This is one of my favorite low end sparkling wines. Excellent QPR. 5 bottles of this or 1 bottle of Billecart-Salmon Rose? For me, it's a tough choice. I suppose I would have to pick the Billecart-Salmon once or twice a year but for the rest of the year, the Louis Bouillot will keep me very happy.

Lovely pale pink/salmon color with some copper reflections. No nose to speak of. Simple red fruit flavors, pleasingly dry, almost like a white zinfandel with class. Not complex or concentrated, but seamless, elegant, and nicely balanced through the long and fruity finish. Just enough acidity to be lively, with a fairly lazy mousse that does not get in the way of the muted flavors. A fun wine for immediate consumption as an aperitif with light food, not too chilled. This is a delicious and well-priced example of an appellation that is rarely made well, and I scored it accordingly. I will buy more.

A very nice pinkish-salmon color. The nose gives light aromas of strawberry and cherry. On the palate the wine is light and fruity with good effervescense. The finish is clean and fresh. This is the 4th or 5th bottle of this that I've had. Consistently good. 50 + 4 + 11 + 16 + 7

Clear strawberry in color, with lots of big bubbles, this wine didn't grab me. There was little bouquet, and a kind of tart bitterness on the finish. Very dry and crisp, but not something I'd buy again. Prefer other bubbles (prosecco) at this price point. Disappointing.

Strawberries and cherries, fine bubbles and refreshingly tart. Drank with cheese, which definitely overpowered the wine, but drinking after the cheese was refreshing and tasty. Good value, but drink as an aperitif of with lighter foods.

Disappointed after hearing really good things about this wine. Pleasant cherry/strawberry fruit, but the bubbles were very large, like a carbonated soda. Wine was a bit sweeter than, and not as crisp or dry as i'd have preferred. With my friends it's pretty easy to tell how well a sparkling wine goes over based on how long it takes to drain a bottle. This one took too long...

Strawberries and cherries on the front with a smooth finish. Light to medium bodied with fine light bubbles this is an easy drinking bubbly. It is great aperitif or after dinner, but not to match with much more. Great value- wish we had more.

Youthful with medium aroma intensity showing raspberry, strawberry, red apple, pomegranate, with light bready notes.
Sec (maybe too sweet), medium acidity, medium (-) body, persistent mousse, medium (-) finish, with medium flavor intensity of strawberries, red apples, raspebneries, jolly rancher and a bit of “stevia” notes.
Acceptable quality

Decent enough sparkling rosé from Burgundy. White strawberries, raspberries and red currants as well as a touch of pastry (lees) with a good bead and dry finish. A good drop for around AUD$25.

Pink grapefruit, with a citrus finish. OK, just one dimensional.
A turn for the worse on Day 2, the grapefruit has a bitter aftertaste, like pith. Not a pleasant development. Still bright and fresh, just less tasty.

Not my kind of sparkling. Pale orangey pink with moderate liveliness. Tight on the nose with a bunch of minerality. More minerality on the palate but more like a wet river bed as well as tart strawberries. Moderate acidity (6/10) but unbalanced and sharp. Light bodied and short finish. Drink now.

Birthday bottle. A suprisingly good pairing with a butternut squash/ ricotta pizza. Light and fruity without being sweet. Lots of berries- strawberry and maybe blackcurrant? and bit of yeast at the end. Finishes dry. Different style of Pinot than I would choose, but nice to expand my horizons a bit.

A fait sourire tout le monde ce soir encore. Excellent RQP. Les amateurs de mousseux dosés et rancios ne s'y plairont pas.

A very pretty salmon pink sparkling Rose with very elegant fine streams of bubbles. The nose is a little funky, creamy and chalky with a dollop of strawberry - a very fitting combo of the 2 grapes represented. Nothing stunning on the palate.

Light and smooth, with fine cherry and strawberry flavors. Not especially complexy but refreshing enough for $15.

I had a glass of this as an apéritif at Crémant in Madrona. Really great nose of strawberries and cherries with fine bubbles, nice texture, and great flavor and acid. Exceptional in comparison to the Monmousseaux.

Strawberries and cherries on the front with a smooth finish. Light to medium bodied with fine light bubbles this is an easy drinking bubbly. It is great aperitif or after dinner, but not to match with much more. Great value- wish we had more.

Heritage: True red berry fruit nuances in the nose; med. lite bod sparkler. Correct. Not bad.
