Introduction

The Saturdays at One group got together this past Saturday to taste our way through several Spanish wines. There were a few odds and ends tossed in at the end as is usual with the group. Here are the results:

    Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of dried herbs, a hint of caramel, forest floor, white pepper and a bit of dark fruit. Flavors of dark berries, dark cherries and a bit of plum. Palate is pretty tight right now. Bright acidity, firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink now with some air or preferably hold into the 2-6 year window plus or minus.
