Russian River Valley

Swann - Excellent wine, very good value, a very homey, comfortable, small tasting room with the assistant winemakers among the barrels.
Moshin - Not bad, but I didn't like the wine for the price.
Gary Farrell - Excellent, suave wine aimed at a broad audience. Beautiful tasting room. The price points are more than I care to pay, but the wine is really good.
Cooper Creek - Good wine. The tasting room is a tiny shack and the pourers are extremely nice guys you just want to hang around and chat with, a great tasting experience. A small family winery, just the kind of place you root for but I didn't love the wines as much as I wanted to.

Broad and yeasty. Good restraint. I like this very much.

Dark fruit, firm but light bodied. Pretty but solid. Long tight tar finish. Well balanced & restrained. Very nice.

Tight tannins, black acidic fruit. A bit too acidic for me.
