Sorry for the brief notes....someone spilled something on my notes. I still think skosh did it.
Good, but a bit "thin." Drink up.

Solid, smooth wine. Drink up--seems like it would have been much better a year or two ago.

Bottle A (I put a letter on the back of the duplicate bottles). Very smooth, classic wine. Bottle B was much, much better.

Bottle B. Simply amazing. Wish I had tried Bottle C. Bottle B was still very vibrant with quite a bit of complexity. Excellent wine.

Interesting wine, but seemed just a bit past its prime.

Very modern, smooth, amazing wine. But, I still liked the 1996 better.

Amazing wine--complex, yet very fresh with a lingering finish. My red WOTN.

13.6% alcohol. Nice wine, but I was a little distracted by a bit of raisin aroma. Finished nicely.

Smooth wine that aged gracefully. I had another bottle 3 years ago--I liked that bottle a bit more.

OK, I am further becoming convinced that this is one of the greatest wineries on earth. Absolutely amazing wine with the requisite complexity I expect from Baumard—a mixture of citrus, honey, ever so slight hints of lightly toasted oak and cedar with an awesome finish. My overall WOTN.

Nice crispness with a yeast component to it--background flavors of toasted honey and citrus. Refined and aged nicely.

A bit of herb mixed in with the crisp finish. A bit off, but interesting.

Nice smooth texture with subtle oak overtones. Modern style California Chardonnay. Did I get the right bottle? Many at our table thought this wine was way off....
