A blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier. Lovely Pinot fruit, nice complexity from the vin de réserve, vinous, subtle mousse, gastronomic.
A blend of 64% Pinot Noir and 36% Chardonnay, 100% Grand Cru, domaine vineyards only. Just released. Light but intense colour; rich and meaty but fresh nose, fishy Pinot Noir, citrus and white flowers; rich and vinous palate, very typical for La Grande Dame, freshness and balance, good weight, noticeable bitters, brioche and lilies; very good length. Outstanding but not extraordinary.
Shows a wonderful stylistic unity with the NV Blanc de Blancs, explosively floral nose, silky, fresh as a mountain stream, seamless, supreme elegance and finesse, long. Has the wow-factor already and will age effortlessly. It seems I am not alone in my admiration; I went back for a final drop at the very end of the tasting, but it was all gone...
Nothing friendly or easy about this wine. Vinous and very mineral, tightly wound, apple, very energetic, hint of oak; needs time, a coiled spring, will be excellent. I will give the bottles in my cellar ample time.
A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. Rich and vinous, hint of oak, deep and nutty, subtle mousse, retains a certain delicacy, intense and complex, still fresh and vibrant.
Finesse and silk, seamless house style, exceptional mineral energy, perfectly integrated dosage (9 gr/l), still quite closed, will evolve beautifully. Grande classe. I bought a case.
Playful, lots of finesse and nuance, strawberry and a hint of sous-bois, silky and seamless, subtle bitters, floral top notes, excellent length, peacock's tail.
No sulphur, dosage of 2-3 gr/l (or so I was told by the very decorative but maybe not necessarily very knowledgeable high-heeled young ladies behind the table). Floral, pure, precise, playful, nicely rounded, feminine, stylish. It's all about Esprit...
A blend of 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir. Finesse, stylish, nutty, elegant, light style, seems very developed for a 2004 Cuvée de Prestige? The livery is much more beautiful than the wine, I fear.
Apparently this is 100% Le Mesnil, aged for 5 years sur lattes. Juicy supple, good terroir expression but the dosage (10 gr/l) sticks out a bit. Assez bien.
Explosive nose, toasty and nutty, deep, rich for Dom Pérignon, brioche; rounded and rich style, supple, intense but not the usual finesse and elegance, almost seems a bit loose; very good length though. A question mark - but certainly not one of the great DP's.

Mature style, quite nutty and evolved, subtle mousse, not for the long term. Not as good as I remember from two years ago. Drink up.

A perfect bottle - obviously, in this context. Very floral and elegant, stylish and silky, almost Riesling-like finesse and fragrance. Love it.

Supple, relatively forward and juicy style, not as silky and subtle as most other champagnes from this maison, fruit-driven.

Subtle and layered, seamless harmony, quite toasty, 2005 weight and power does not impair finesse. Beautiful now and with the balance to age well.
