Certainly drinkable, but slightly tired. Not familiar with the wine, but the label makes me think this is made through a fermage or metayage agreement by Roulot.
All red fruit gives this more of a Côte de Beaune character, nicely mature, with good amount of earth. Modest length. Good now, but with enough structure to drink well for another 5 years.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
Red cherry with mushroom and savory spice. Well balanced with moderate density. Good now and with enough acidity to drink well for at least another 5 years.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Black fruit with some rough edges. Tasted three times in the evening, with more structure and less fruit coming across as the evening progressed. Not a personal favorite of mine tonight.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
From magnum. Open 3 hours before serving, with 1/2 the magnum double decanted. Alluring aromas of black berries, allspice, forest floor and braised meat. Similar flavors, just slightly less complex. Drank nicely for several hours, slightly starting to fade 4 hours after initially poured.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Floral and spice aromas with red berries maturing nicely. Same flavors with earth hints and Grand Cru density, even if less finesse. Certainly good now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Very much liked how this started with lots of black fruit, but the finish came across as slightly bitter and drying, with overall less balance. I'd hold this another 5 years if I had any in my cellar.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
An odd wine tonight. Seemed a little oaky still and unusually ripe, even showing a surprising hint of sweetness I found odd. I don't recall ever tasting this exact wine before, but not consistent with what I typically find from this wine from this producer in most vintages.
An intriguing Champagne that gave the impression of fine baked goods. There was a pronounced yeasty, bready character, well paired with slightly spicy lemon custard, then finishing with racy acidity. I thought it slightly too yeasty for such a young wine at first, but enjoyed it more when re-visited 20 minutes later.

2008 Louis Jadot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 87 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru
Red fruit with spice hints. Modest weight and length. Slightly plain and less distinct than I'd prefer for Vosne 1er from a good vintage.
