France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Only had a small sample but this was pretty sumptuous. Fantastic balance and length. Drinking very nicely already. Would I pay 250 euros for it? No. But these days that's not even that expensive for this level.
Quite impressed by this for the vintage. Modern, but with lovely balance, some minerals, and reasonable complexity. Touch of smoke. One of the better wines of the tasting.
Some tar and burnt toast on the nose. The palate has wonderful balance, some nice minerals, and attractive youthful black fruit. You can tell this has seen a lot of oak, but the oak already manifests itself other than as oak, i.e., as smoke, tar, etc. One of the wines of the tasting.

Decent Lirac in quite a full style. Reminded me of a Rasteau.

Drinking quite nicely, though for some reason already showing some tertiary notes. Very mushroomy.

Decent potential but a bit disjointed today. Needs time to come together. 89 today but potential for a 92.

2016 Les Vins de Vienne Condrieu La Chambée 89 Points

Quite a rich and opulent style, but would qet a bit sickly after a glass or two. I prefer a dryer style.

2015 Les Vins de Vienne Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes Heluicum 90 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes
Not as good as the sotanum but still pretty tasty. Tastes like a well-made entry-level cote rotie from young vines, which is more or less what it it.

2015 Les Vins de Vienne Côte-Rôtie Les Essartailles 91 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie
Very good this. Quite fruity and approachable now, but with enough complexity and minerality to easily justify the price. 91-92.

2015 Maison Champy Pernand-Vergelesses Blanc 88 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses
Decent and a bit ordinary, as well as expensive for the appellation (34 euros), but perhaps the problem was that it followed a chevalier-montrachet.

I liked this. Not as much acidity as on a lot of crozes, but juicy and mineral.
