Pale to mid straw. Nicely rich on the nose without anything oxidative. Really rather good — a good blend of richness and some maturity cut through with a lemon zestiness. ****

Mid to full straw. Quite a minerally nose with a sense of richness. A fraction off-dry, really quite ripe and rounded. Less complex or mineral than the Bournais, but very decent. Drinking well but no hurry. ***1/2

Mid straw. Very poised and focused. Lovely minerality, finely crystalline. Complex and long. There’s richness but it’s balanced by the freshness and complexity, making the Choisiles seem a little simple by comparison. ****

Initially quite full and glossy with quite a dark red fruited profile. Decanted 5hrs but kept at cellar temp. Lightens slightly, still a hint of the trademark spritz. Lovely aroma, cherry, damp earth and a touch of strawberry. Drinking very well now. ****

Decanted 5hrs and kept at cellar temp. Initially leaner and a little more sinewy than the CaM, but when poured it has become a lot richer with a lovely sous bois meaty earthiness with some manure. Densely and super smooth silky texture. Long and nuanced, this is currently in a lovely spot and showing a little more than the CaM. Just lovely. **** almost ****1/2
