Yellow gold colour. Smoke, lemon, apricots and spice. Palate is more restrained, the acidity holds up the fruit and it has good drive. Expressive and better than the last bottle of this we tried.
Melon, lemon, grapefruit and mandarin with some mineral tones as well. Full bodied with really good freshness and verve. Long and detailed. Ticking along very well, with more to give in time.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
Liquorice, stems, black cherry and herbs in the background. More power versus the 2010 next to it, this is structured with good length. Quite the resemblance to the 2010 even though it is in a different mould.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
Cherry, earth, gunsmoke and roses. Delicate on the palate, with a good line of acidity and very nice length. Very nice cool fruit style with great balance.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
Roses, red cherry, stems, redcurrant, floral and pretty nose. Delicate on the palate with good acidity and red fruit profile. Settled now but has plenty of time to go.
Tobacco, cassis, spice, leather and earth. Detailed and classic on the palate, with leafy notes and fine balance. Sweet fruit still exists but the wine is generally resolved.
Blackberry, blackcurrant and charcoal on the nose. Fresh on the palate with good sweet and savoury interplay. Still plenty of time left to drink good bottles of this.
Orange peel, slate, apple, peach and honey. Lovely balance, clean fruit with medium sweetness and acidity. Could use a touch more zing but it is mellowing out with age and will hit a point where that becomes less critical.
Golden colour. Mango, honey, mint and apricot with some quince and lemon as well. Tangy acidity with very good length. Rounded mouthfeel but still have good drive. This is drinking well now from 375ml.

Spicy oak, orange peel, lemon and white florals. Mineral drive on the palate with pure youthful fruit. More time will let this settle and shine.
