Lots of dark fruits and sweet oak accents. Complex wine, with very fine grain tannins. Much more refined than it was last year, but lacking the raw power it had last year. Perhaps it is in a weird phase?

Big blueberry nose. Cough syrup, blueberries and spice on the palate. Beautiful finish. A bit of heat. Still a good dose of tannns remaining. Excellent wine.

Closed at first, but the nose soared after a little bit of airing. Big tar, smoke and caramel. Very generous, lush and tannic. Big wine, but also very complex.

Some funk. Minerals and tar. A bit medicinal? A wine with good structure that perhaps needs more time. Not as good as a previous tasting, but I decanted it a lot more then.

Big dark fruity wine. Earth, minerals, and with time, some buttered popcorn. Big wine, with a big finish. A wow wine. Don't know how it would age, but I would drink this wine now for the fun fruit.

Dark red. Raspberry nose. Smooth fruit, nice balance, medium bodied, but a bit short on the finish.

Floral perfume. Medium bodied, but a bit short. Less lush than a previous taste several years ago. Drink up.

A thick, chunky, fruity wine. Very drinkable, but light on structure. A nice wine in a "drink me now" style.

Medicinal, funk, and earth. A terroir driven wine. Perhaps it needs more time. Ok.

A 70% Syrah, 30% Mouverdre wine. Medicinal, some weird funk, and acidic. Either a bad bottle, or over the hill.

Blueberries. A medium bodied wine with a nice finish, but nothing spectacular. Nice wine.

Dark for a rose wine. Smokey strawberries. Nice balance and good zing, but overall, a simple wine.

Medicinal. Minerals and a lean acidic body. Terroir more than fruit. OK.

Thin, acidic, and stripped of any real character. This must be a bad bottle?

Nice funk, earth, and barnyard to go with the wonderful Syrah fruit. Grilled meats poked it's head out as well. Good concentration, mouthfeel and finish.

Muted nose. Some spice, but a bit thin. Not much pleasure here.

Thin and acidic. Not offering much at this time. Not flawed, just a bit lean.

Earth, minerals, and other terroir elements. Nice wine, but nothing special.

Muted on the nose. Medium palate and a light finish. Some cherry elements, but rather thin.

A bit closed on the nose. Seems to show good concentration, but closed on the palate as well. Mostly showing minerals at this point. Not much pleasure right now.

Closed wine. Good concentration, but this is showing nothing at this point. Give this cellar time, hopefully it will blossom.

Beautiful wine, as always. Bannanas, white raisins, minerals, chaulk, and tropical fruits. Amazing complexity and length. Great sweetness, with the prerequisite acidity. WOW!

Custard, lemon, and carmel nose. Very chard like in thickness. Nice musk, but the finish had a bit too much of oak.
