Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. I've yet to be disappointed by any of these late release bottles of Defaix. They've all been in pristine condition, so hopefully I'm not jinxing myself. Great nose, penetrating aromas of Meyer lemon, sea air, linetsone, orange zest and cittus. The palate is concentrated and expansive with tons of earthy ocean flavor, limestone, brine and tangerine, and citrus zest with hints of wood spice in the background. This drinks with class and maturity. 93+ to 94pts. WOTN.
Dark red color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 3 hours. Nice nose filled with funk, dried earthen tones, leather, cherry, cassis and spices. The palate overs a similar constellation with the wood spices standing out, more red fruited as time goes by, cherry in particular, funk and earth, medium bodied with somewhat grainy tannins. 91+ to 92pts.

Dark red color. PNP, drank a glaa plus over 3 hours. The nose stands out here over the palate. Funk, graphite, blackberry, blue fruits, anise, wood. The palate comes off a bit more angular on the back end. Blackberry liqueur, anise, with nice mid palate texture and polish, hints of blue fruits, anise, graphite and lots of wood on a tannic finish. Definitely a food wine as might expect. This can age a bit more, but not sure it gets better. 89+ to 90pts.
Very dark red color. Splash decanted; drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. Lovely dark fruits on the nose, a little sweet essence to the vilet florar tines, dried earth and a touch of dill. The palate shows the same ripe fruits of blackberry and cassis, dried spices abd a nice kirsch note along with the underbrush. This takes on some creme de cassis over time along with plum, pepper and spice to go with some firm tannins. Plenty of life left. 91+pts.

Deep gold color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. Consistent with a note several years ago. Apricot, candied orange, vanilla, pineapple, creamy texture, unctuous, and well spiced. The nose and palate match up perfectly. Give me a stitch more acid and this would just soar. 92+pts.
