Opinions about this wine seem to differ wildly, but make no mistake: this is a cracking wine. Tangy acidity, marvellous minerally energy, flawless varietal typicity (but no wooliness, fortunately), warmth and gentle bitters from the wood, succulent fruit, has fleshed out with age to a lovely honeyed richness, green apple finish.

Very delicate, toute en finesse, silky and seamless, gentle and floral, with a charm which almost hides the earthy “prodondeur”, floating but not fleeting, long finish with a lovely touch of sweet oak. A very feminine Clos de la Roche.
