Even from P&P, this was performing very well. Great red fruit wafting from the glass, powerful on the palate but very integrated and elegant. Long finish and you could immediately tell that this would just get better with some air.
Before this, my expectations had been tempered somewhat given comments about how 'Rousseau should stick to Gevrey'. But they did an excellent job with this one, and it was really enjoyable. Probable upside even though it's in a great spot right not; would seek out again, and thanks to M as always for sharing.

A big step up from Gevrey and Jacques, grand cru intensity on the nose, fresh with citrus alongside red berries. Growing refinement in the glass, quite an elegant take on CdlR, red berries all the way, long-ish finish.
Would like to revisit in a few years.

Rousseau Clos de La Roche 2013. Yes baby! Fokusert helt ut i finish. Sitter lenge med meget pene tanniner. 94-95p

Initially a bit closed, earthy. Then with time in the glass opening up more and more in the glass. Excellent aromatic depth, underbrush, some farmyard funk, red and dark fruit. Real Grand Cru density on the palate. A top tier Burg. Keep or decant. 96+

A private dinner (Restaurant Zoldering, Amsterdam, NL): Very delicate, toute en finesse, silky and seamless, gentle and floral, with a charm which almost hides the earthy “prodondeur”, floating but not fleeting, long finish with a lovely touch of sweet oak. A very feminine Clos de la Roche.

Opened at the 4S in HK. Enjoyed first pour.
