My brother-in-laws birthday. He came down from Duluth to celebrate with us. We prepared an unbelievable meal (Orzo pasta salad, twice baked potato, and Akashi filet mignon with a sherry raisin sauce, and a chocolate cake for dessert! Paired the Grenache with the filet and the port with the dessert! Both pairs were great!
An enjoyable evening with my brother in law and his wife! My wife and enjoyed the company, the food and the wine...and that is what it's all about!
Cheers!
2012 Two Hands Grenache Aerope 95 Points

PnP - This was singing right out of the gate! Hedonistic fruit with velvety tannins...delicious!
Nose: Lots of florals and red fruit! Hints of bramble and cigar.
Palate: Gobs of red and black fruit, black raspberry pie, with hints of smoked meat, blood and iodine lurking. No heat, velvety tannins and enough acidity to keep the fruit lively. This is mouth-coating wine that finishes medium long leaving behind sweet fruit with well integrated toasty oak and hints of meat and spice.
Always a pleasure! Drinking quite well now! 94+ to 95 points....I am discovering I really love the taste and value of a nice Grenache!
