Nice and expansive on the palate - lemon and grapefruit curd (is grapfruit curd a thing? It should be) and pastry. Good cut and overall delicious with excellent balance. Lovely!

Of the pinots this was the most muted on the nose but with some time it starts to share some sweet strawberry and a distinct honey note (thanks Leon for nailing that) On the palate there is nice tangy red fruit and incense spice. Good acidity. Overall with time this comes across as well put together and enjoyable
This was excellent. A classic chianti blend (sangiovese, canaiolo and colorino) but famously not labelled as such. On the nose it plays the hits - dusty red cherry, tomato sauce then on the palate wonderfully intense red chery but supremely elegant (are we allowed to say Burgundian???). A wonderful balance of intensity but lightness. I can see why this is so highly praised.
Certainly some brett on the nose but enough to be interesting without being a problem. Some savoury aromas and flavours balances out dark cherry. This was fun but would drink up if I had some.
My wine - a single bottle gift. It didn't really do what i was expecting - this is essentially an Amarone in all but name but didn't give the dried fruit quality I might have expected but certainly had plenty of fresher fruit and elegance too. This felt to me quite coiled in a way with more to give. I don't have a good angle on how Amarone ages. Would have liked to ponder this more but also don't see getting another bottle given the price of entry here.
