Myself
A wine making style that seems consistent with Denis. This particular bottle was aromatically challenged upon opening. VA in an almost maderized sort of way. All those challenges went away with an hour in the bottle (open) giving way to a lovely village wine. Proof of what a more extracted style is capable off if allowed the proper time to age.

Leaner and with more restraint and elegance than the 03 side by side (as expected). This particular bottle took an hour for the VA and funk to blow off. Drinking at or slightly after its apex now - lovely bottle.

Hedonistic and complete wine. The mystery and legend of the Mortet 03s is not something I will pretend to understand. While this bottle is certainly not lacking in the red fruit department, there is a brightness and acidity to match. Labeled 13% - Mortet is a magician if he did indeed truly chapitalize these wines.

Aromatic profile completely dominated by mesquite BBQ. This 07 was completely shut for the majority of the evening. There is clearly content / substance hidden behind the cooperage here, but this particular 07 will likely need another decade or two to blossom.

A very steely Puligny - might have guessed Chassagne if blind. Muscle and acidity on this bottle. I had my eye on this sitting in THP's cellar for quite some time as I have not had any 14's from Benoit Ente. A lovely bottle, but perhaps lacking some of the aromatic nuance and fullness of fruit that his brother seems to so often posses.

My first tome with this wine. Seems full and complete with brioche richness and a fine backbone of acidity. Lovely

Team elected to decant as the bottle was shy / lean. Much darker in the decanter than one might expect for '21 disgorgement. Did no sing a particularly compelling song throughout the evening - a reminder that this particular cuvee often seems to benefit from material age.

2006 Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 93 Points
France, Champagne
Very high quality and complete bottle. Vastly superior to several other vintages tasted recently.

2015 Bernard Boisson-Vadot Meursault Les Chevalières 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
Bombastic wine - a truly hedonistic bottle. Although I personally enjoyed this wine, others felt that it lacked restraint and elegance. Reduction gave way to very ripe fruits. Richness also likely due to solar vintage.

2012 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières 95 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
A complete and balanced Genevrieres from chez Lafon. One of the finest bottles I have had from the Domaine for which inconsistency seems to be the defining characteristic (for me).
Rich and full, yet harmonious. Thank you THP.
