Nice mousse and some bubbles remaining. Not as balanced as the others in the flight.

Very good and tasted surprisingly fresh. Tons of depth, good bubbles. This was an excellent bottle and a great example of aged Champagne. WOTF.

Very good and vied for WOTF. More acid than the 82 and a bit fresher, but not as complex.

Interesting material, continued to change in the glass. At first tasted a little bit tired. Eventually it woke up, but still felt like it was a more subtle representation and missing a touch pop and wow factor. Having it up against the 01 powerhouse didn't do it any favors.

Utterly stunning and clear WOTN. My last bottle 8 years ago is the reason I chase white Burg, so there were very high expectations here and this bottle did not disappoint. Complexity, depth, drive and a finish that lingered on and on. Amazing.

We knew this one was darker because the other 2 bottles from the OWC were the same. Some said it was oxidized, but it didn't taste oxidized to me, just had this heavy botrytis influence. Almost tasted like a dry version of d'Yquem. I think it's just the result of late picking in a hot vintage.

Fresher than the 99/05. Very good in its own right, and got better with air, but not quite at the same level as the 01.

Blind. Fresh, vibrant and layered. Tons of depth of material. Beguiling and held its own next to the DRC Monties.

Blind. Excellent depth. Had this spearmint nose had some thinking Ramonet GC. Wonderful vintage, wonderful producer, excellent wine.

Very similar to the 06. Very good, lots of depth, but not the best tonight.

A bit of warmth and botrytis influence felt here similar to the 2005, but not nearly as heavy.

More linear than the others. Very fresh, but I didn't feel like it had as much depth, but others disagreed. It did continue to gain depth with more air.

Bright and fresh. Lovely spritz texture. Reminded me of the 2017 we had last fall, with a bit less acid. Very good showing for a notoriously difficult vintage.

Excellent mature red Burg. Tons of complexity and nice acid balance. Drinking in the zone.

Drinking very young. Feels like it's still not full mature and was a touch below the impressive 91 in this flight.

Typical muscular frame and broad shoulders. What you expect from Rich.

Soft and sexy, this is a real treat. Beguiling tannins and red cherry fruit, just brings you back for more. Continued to evolve in the glass. WOTF.

A bit lighter framed than the RSV/Rich, but to be expected. Not quite as much complexity, but lovely soft tannins.

Very different style than the DRC. Showed quite a bit younger with less spice and more red fruited profile.

Lighter framed than the 01. Fun side by side.

Light and airy, with great Vosne spice and touch of stem. 02s are just drinking absolutely fabulously right now.

Very good, and enjoyable birth year wine, but not quite one of the greatest vintages.

Minimal bubbles. Some interesting flavors, but tasted less fresh than I expected from a recent disgorgement.
