This bottle is the second best champagne i ever tried in my life!
Super multifaceted champagne. So tight in the complexity that you can chew on it!
My bottle i had was exceptional. Bubbles was there, the scent amazing, the taste...omg so good.
The taste was like a complex aroma bomb, fruit, mineral, brioche, nuts, caramel and an elegance i never seeen before in a wine. The most charming part was that the wine was so solid, all o round and didnt faded away in any spectrum.
It brings tears to my eyes that this vintage is over soon. I drunk it on normal size, I would greatly buy it on Magnum but the price is booming. (5000 euro in the writing moment).
If you get your hands on a normal size bottle and the bottle is good you will have an experience you never will forget.

blind Again close to perfection. Bubbles, typical Krug nose. Nuts, candied fruits, honey, dark chocolate but still with lemon freshness. I thought about 79, 81 and 88. In this condition at least 5 more years. 99

Normally I prefer drinking younger wines but this 1979 Krug is rather delicious. Deep and powerful, apricot and orange peel with vibrant acidity and salinity. It is now fully mature with few bubbles left, yet it is still intense and energetic throughout. I prefer this 1979 to the 1976. (94/100)

DRC Montrachet Vertical: Nice mousse and some bubbles remaining. Not as balanced as the others in the flight.

super fresh acidity, takes time to open. Roasted nuts. Creamy. Beautiful. Elegant.
