Mike Parres pours some nice Brunellos...
Nice, ripe, spicy fruit. A hint of vanilla thrown in. Hints of wet earth. Very good for the $23 price. Solid Rosso.

Dark fruit, nice spicy finish. A bit thin in the middle. A bit of chocolate; a bit of heat.
Smokey, chocolatey. Rich wine with truffle hints. Just a bit of brett... just enough to add complexity.
Lovely cherry fruit. Elegant, balanced and long.
Wild nose... Tabacco leaf, sous bois. Refined palate. Fine grained structure. Nice.
Sappy cherry and floral notes. Beautiful perfume, and really dances on the palate. Silky texture in the mouth.
Firm and linear. Good acids; high toned... but I would like greater length in the finish.
Light, elegant and a firm backbone. Strong "bones" but not so much "flesh". Good.
Good flesh here. Round, yet well defined. Lovely "grippy" finish.
I'm a sucker for the "skunky", "funky", earthy aromas of this wine. Lots of wet earth, forest floor and truffles. Complex and unique.
A 2001 Tenuta Caparzo "La Casa" was also tasted, but mysteriously I have not notes on it.
Floral and dry... essence of pressed dried flowers, with dusty cherry fruit. Considering this is $10, I consider this a nice buy. Refreshing on a hot day!
