FFP after returning home from a business trip to Detroit, 2014 Domain de Rome Sancerre. Nice crisp, dry Sancerre, good start. Now for tonight's red?......

Kendall-Jackson Chard.
Yeah, the cheap one.
At Marie Callender's.
In Bakersfield.

Feel my depression, CT brothers and sisters!

Fret not. FSP will occur at home in about three hours.
Prolly Champagne
Then Paso Cab
And snuggles from the dog
And the wife

Salud!

If the KJ Chard doesn't have enough residual sugar for you Marie's has Sweet and Low and other Aspartame derivatives on the table. Use sparingly Bakersfield.....as if it wasn't bad enough already???

2014 Sojourn Chardonnay Durell Vineyard
2007 Mauro VS Tempranillo

Both very nice wines at an Italian BYOB for Friday night...

Also sipping a bit of 24 hr leftover 2011 Rotie Cellars Southern Blend which is pretty tasty.

For us it was 2015 Château Vircoulon Blanc https://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=2490890
Which if you go for white Bordeaux is a screaming QPR deal at a whopping $7

Hard to believe no one posted in this thread for the past two Fridays, so I'm giving it a bump even though my FFP is, ah...water.

Early yet to decide, but FFP here will probably be a 2012 Proper Syrah. Or perhaps a 2013 Bedrock Dolinsek Ranch.

Or maybe something else!

Any Syrah is proper for a FFP.

Through the Proper, into the Dolinsek. The latter woke up grouchy, so it's a gradual process.

MuseDir, I have a Rasa Composer incoming next year and have enjoyed several Milbrandt Cabs. Go, Washington!

That said, I have a Mendo PN open and will continue with that tonight. Navarro Vineyards, 2011, may be the last of my 2011 bottles. Very consistent, decent QPR.

PN and WA Wine Cheers!

2013 Carl Roy Eastside Cuvee. Nothing to write home about. Purchased when I looked at my empty cellar and felt angst.

Okay ... I'll more than prime it. I'll fire the engine and rev it nice and loud.

I just got back from lunch with a co-worker. I smuggled a 375 of 1985 Leoville Barton into the restaurant and we ordered two glasses of plonk. Drained those and had a great lunch with a classic St. Julien!

Anyone else starting early?

at least 10 times.
Plymouth and Fever Tree here.
Oct is our craziest month, but we survived with many successes so we'll do some celebrating.
LARGE Ribeyes are on the kitchen counter.
Time to do some "digging" in the cellar.

2005 Lopez de Heredia Gravonia, left over from some sort of fishy dinner a few days ago, tastes entirely fresh, and consistently excellent, in this case as an apertif.

Went with a Buty 2004 Beast Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon for the roast. Not at all disappointed.

FFP was a small glass of a simple white Bordeaux. Next: champagne. Then a 1982 Pichon Lalande. Not bad

Well worth the $20 I paid at B-21 but on the downhill side of the mountain.
