Grant Burge Cameron Vale Cab Sav 2014. Big and fruity but surprisingly light on its feet.

If you like Fin du Monde, and have a TJ' s nearby, you should try their own "vintage ale", also made by Unibroue

2009 CT Barrel Project Cabernet Sauvignon Gerlach Ranch Vineyard

Matched up with baby-backs, roasted Asian sweet potato frites, and a spectacular garden salad. The ribs were merely pedestrian, but the wine did much to enhance the whole shebang. Redemptive synergy

That's some tasty alcohol. Like a sledgehammer to the liver.

The weather today was totally awesome, tomorrow's weather will be crap. So I left work early and went for a bike ride. Then stopped at a favorite LBS to enjoy a Gulden Draak before heading home.

Ybor Gold Amber Lager, with Cuban sandwiches and black beans and rice in Ybor City, a favorite Tampa area of ours. Within a few linear blocks on 7th avenue here in a single evening you can visit brewing companies, distilleries, smoke cigars hand rolled for you, smoke a hookah, have live rock, rave, jazz, flamenco, blues, comedy etc., eat Cuban, Italian, German, Greek, Irish, etc., buy your hats for Derby Day, take in a drag show, get tattooed and pierced, get tested (free) for HIV and Hep-C.
Of course, when the weekend rolls around, things kick up a bit more...

FFP was a Kim Crawford SB. Not the world’s most distinguished wine, but with grouper sitting outside with great friends on a beautiful day, very nice.

FFP is now open, and it is way too cold to even taste anything. Tastes like lemon water.

As it's warming up a bit the flavors seem to be appearing... 2014 Littorai Mays Canyon Chardonnay.

2014 Tablas Creek Patelin Blanc, which was unyielding out of the bottle, so we opened a Chateau Carles 2011, which was more tractable. We reverted to the Patelin when we ate our blackened tuna steaks. It was a good dinner and evening.
