I had to drive up to Cincinnati today to pick up several shipments from WTSO. I decided to rotate the music I had in the truck, and this was one of the tapes I put in. I hadn't listened to it in at least 20 years, and I was struck by what a good album it is. It'll remain in the truck for a while....

Spring is finally here, and the mild weather has put me in a jazzy mood, so I've been grooving on a bunch of Wynton Marsalis tunes whilst sipping a Bordeaux. Nice Sunday afternoon.

Bumping this as I just picked up a 2-CD set of Jeff Beck, Live at Hollywood Bowl. 2018. Very nice for those who like oldies. Didn't realize that the Yardbirds had Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page all as part of group. What a collection of talent!

Great station, Muse! Going to see Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and Dwight Yoakam on Aug 9th, so I have been on a steady diet of Outlaw Country the last few days.

Agree! The Yardbirds were maybe the best incubator of British guitar gods EVER! John Mayall and the Blues Breakers grew talent, as well.

A band that is half Split Enz, half Hothouse Flowers.

Sounds like the entire thing was recorded in first takes, and yet it works.
