Scott, how do you want folks to declare for a second (or more) share? I'd be in for a full case, but do want as many folks as want to participate. Thanks

We put in for the full case directly. If the wine runs out figured it would get posted and then we'd be happy of course to give up one of the shares so everyone has a chance.

THIS.

Please feel free to request whatever quantity you want, we have 100 Cases, or 200 6-packs. I want this to sell out for all the right reasons of supporting Rasa, memorializing Brad, having a great CT Community wine, etc. I know we will do right by each other if availability gets tight, but please order what you wish, I am in for a case as well.

Scott, I am in for the half-case. For the first time re:a CT custom crush. Like the whole idea as a great way to remember....

A question for you and others:

Have any of you ever chosen to add another half-case of other wines offered by the brothers Navarane? I am thinking that maybe by 2018 there might be something interesting/special/other releases that would then complete the case but add variety and maybe reduce shipping cost/bottle. And, in the past there were some lower-cost wine options within their website that may be of interest.

Just a thought....

PinotPhile (and out of habit I routinely start typing your name Pinto...LOL)

Yes, many round out inventory with Rasa wines for shipping savings, etc. There are also still some bottles of the 2014 and 2012 project available, you could ask Pinto about those if you wanted. That would allow you to be all caught up like the cool kids on the Forum (or those of us who don't acknowledge this Moratorium thingamajig...)

RELEASE PARTY

One thing I hadn't yet mentioned. Pinto is adamant about having a Release party (he wants to meet all you guys, and he likes a good party!)...I've really failed to get that put together on the prior CT Washington projects. So I'll probably put a small group together to work with Pinto to plan this out this time. I'll plan on inviting Lesley and see if we can't make this a heck of a grand party for all involved. I know that is way far down the line, but keep it in mind and maybe with this much notice we can actually get something great pulled together.

Cheers!

That's great. While I have met Billo at the Rasa building a few times, I have never met Pinto.

Thanks, Scott. Will follow-up with Pinto a bit later when the 2016 issue is settled to outline any options.

Holiday Cheers!

He looks a lot like Billo... with short hair.

I'd be all in on a Release Party and look forward to the Florida invasion as I hope Leslie would be only one of many to come west to honor Brad in this way. Really great idea.

I'm pretty new to this forum and I never met Brad, but I would like to participate. I really enjoyed participating in the SS gift exchange. It's always nice to meet people who are passionate about wine.

Happy to have all newcomers!!

And fear not those who never met Brad, our goal with labels won't be to have these look like a gift bottle from your weird Uncle Stan with a picture of him and Aunt Ethyl on a beach somewhere, or some cheesy memorial photo with beads and candles. These will be tastefully done, except the back label which will be Brad bottle chugging Silver Oak...

Hi All,

I didn’t know Brad. We exchanged a couple of emails – that was the extent of our contact. When Scott approached me about doing a tribute to Brad, I took a few days to respond. I knew I wanted to do it. I just had to make sure I was doing it the right way.

If I didn’t know Brad, why was I eager to do this project? Four reasons: he was a wine lover; he was a supporter of my winery; he was a friend to my other customers; and, from all accounts, he was a great guy.

To me, the meaning of life lies in the connections and relationships we build, sustain, and treasure. It’s why I love being a part of these CT projects. You have built relationships from the ether, built around your love of wine, and, in many cases, these relationships have broken free from the shackles of cyberspace, and have been brought into real life. I would be a fool not to celebrate that.

This project means a great deal to those of you who knew Brad. I didn’t know Brad. But, I celebrate his life and I celebrate the kinship you’ve fostered here on CT.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays!

Pinto

I can't possibly imagine a better reason for participating in a CT custom project. I'm in.

Thanks, Scott, for contacting Rasa about this, and many thanks to Rasa for everything they're doing to make it happen.

I got the invoice from Pinto.
He's requesting 50% payment up front. Each 6 pack is $260 (plus tax and shipping/handling).

I just added a new vintages to the 2014 CT Barrel Project to track the pending delivery. Expected delivery is in March of 2018.

2016 CT Barrel Project Cab Sauv from DeBrul
https://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=2553427

2016 CT Barrel Project Syrah from SJR.
https://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=2553429

If we decide on a better CT wine entry, then we can consolidate in the database later.

Thanks. I use those as well and when the Big Dogs figure out how they want to pay Hommage correctly we can change them, but I have spent enough time on the I suck at CT thread to need an entry now. :)

The release/tribute party may be even more exciting to me than the wine (which says a lot). Although I've met Brad and Billo, and many others joining the project, I've never personally met Scott or Pinto, so that would be excellent (though maybe by then one of the Hollowine/MindMuse excursions will finally entail an actual encounter ). And opportunity to meet other CT brethren and sisteren. And maybe visit a friendly vineyard in the neighborherd.

Pinto, great response to your many CT friends - or should I just say family? Message sent to request a case.

D.

P.S. I Drool for DuBrul.

In for a case. Actually ordered this earlier in the week, but with holiday travel, I'm just getting around to posting.

The release party is a FANTASTIC idea.

Feel like I've been hanging around here long enough at this time to see what one of these barrel projects is all about. So I'm in for a six pack! Will shoot over an email. Thanks to all involved for organizing.

I think I got an offer pretty soon after signing up. Might be a bit more competition now, I think the recent release just got some major press in the NorthWest.

Read a bit about Delmas on their website, and a few reviews. Is it owned by one couple (Robertsons) with Billo as vintner? There was one reference to Billo and to Rasa....

Interesting enough to add my name to the list. Why not?

Holiday Cheers!

Yes, Billo is the winemaker and owned by the Robertson's. Check out #8 in this recent top 100

Love the Pig painting. The mousetrap is great as well.
This is such a great way to remember Brad. I miss him. 2016 was a cruel year in which we lost many beloved friends or favorites that were so expressive.

Just another thanks to Scott for putting this together.

I would love to make it out for a release party. Meeting up with Pinto is on my bucket list. With everybody else would be icing on the cake.
