Ok, I think it's getting to be that time of year again. First - who's in? In the past we have always given first rights to those who played in the past and I think that should stay the same. We have a friend who's noted an interest in joining so adding him to waitlist. Also, if there's any rule changes ppl want please speak now and we can set up a vote.

Confirmed:
mc2wines (commish - open if someone else wants role) - 2012 Kosta Browne Russian River Pinot Noir
mye (commish) - 2004 Beaucastel CDP
skifree - 2013 Cayuse en Cerise
Snoop2nutz - 2013 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir Southing
Blue Shorts - 2009 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard
GalvezGuy - Kosta Browne (vintage/appellation TBD)
Szulcey/Seriously - 2012 Chimney Rock Cabernet Sauvignon White Pebble
wine247365 - 2013 Force Majeure Syrah Force Majeure Vineyard
rwik_2000 - 2013 Force Majeure Syrah Force Majeure Vineyard
Exit 105 - 2007 Constant Claret Diamond Mountain Vineyard
hankj - 2013 Ridge Estate Cab
atkinson_b2 - 2009 Leroy Bourgogne
IzeAgeComing - 2012 Azienda Agricola Montevertine Toscana IGT
mqvn - 2013 No Girls Syrah
ern1 - 2011 Torrin "Banshee"

Thanks for getting this going again, mc2 wines, but I'm out this year. Not a good year for FF, unfortunately.

Two more things:

1) If you have not sorted out shipping with ppl you owe bottles to, you will not be eligible (recognize there are a few agreements with folks right now to ship in the fall given weather)

2) If someone has an interest in taking over commish responsibility, we'd be happy to abdicate ours.

p.s. MC2...I know I owe you one and will send once temps drop below boiling point!

I count this in my 'agreed alternative arrangements' exception to (1) above.

Doesn't that limit your chances? If you don't win this year, will you call your team "Punt"?

I usually donate a Kosta Browne, but there's two on the list already. Three Kosta Brownes is just wrong somehow.

How about "turnover"?

That constitutes a hostile takeover.

Waiting on confirmation from 5 more folks....

Also, if there are rule changes that folks want to propose, speak now.

Updating to note requesting the response by next Friday or will start to head to waitlist. Who's in?

If we are still adding to the waitlist, I'll put my name on.

I enjoy FF, and don't have a league this year. Playing for Pinot looks fun.

I don't know about rule changes, But I do have a request:

A couple of years ago, Yahoo Fantasy allowed us to have smack-talk on each individual matchup page. It was fun to talk smack during the game. But that changed and last year, we couldn't do that.

Can we find a different site if Yahoo doesn't allow smack talk?

Happy to reinstitute Smack talk if there's a way to do that (can't imagine there wouldn't be).

My inclination is not to switch sites. The Yahoo league already set up and just waiting for invites and we have a few other leagues that are on the same site as well so much easier to just go to one place.

Regarding rules - I propose we switch to blind bid auction waivers. Most leagues use blind bids now to award players off the waiver wire. It's more like real football than rotating priority. Personally I've never played in a blind bid waiver system but would like to try.
