Outstanding!! We'll have a mini vertical for that event, since we're planning to bring a mag of 1985 Grange.

For Old World, we'll bring some Andre Clouet champagne.

For Pour to Impress, we'll bring xxxx xxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxx

And I'm sure there will be some bonus bottles...

Based on the incredibly wonderful wines that are being declared, I am reviewing the situation. Tough choices.

OK, I'm declaring early, though subject to change of course…

*Saturday 2/17 New World at Cap Grille - Buoncristiani Core vintage to be determined, in honor of our guest Matt Buoncristiani. If anyone is interested here is their story https://tinyurl.com/4BrothersOfTheVine

Now all I need to do is figure out Friday - Old world.

Of course all my picks are subject to last minute audibles. Any requests?

Well crap, that was my plan. Off to look through my cellar again.

No longer bringing Buoncristiani Core as others have expressed interest in bringing this wine. New decision coming soon.

We had a few locals folks drop out and might have a few new ones show up, but we are around 20 people for the events which is a good size group.

Post to the thread when you are ready to declare wines and also don't forget I'll need money sent by 2/2.

Thanks,
-Mark

Still working on Friday night, going to source a couple bottles from a friend who is trying to unload some of his collection--win-win!

How much do I owe and how can I send a check or PayPal?

Hey Guys - just to clarify for pour to impress - all Reds? I plan on bringing two different reds - one of each - does that work or do I need to double up?

Yes, looking like all reds, wine that is. Two different is even better than one. No need to double up. Think I’m almost there with my P2P. See you soon.

Hello all! New to this forum, and was invited here by nmw (I'm active over at wineberserkers). Live in St. Pete, and will be joining you for the new world dinner. After looking at what's been declared so far, I thought something youthful would be nice in the mix (aside from me, since I'm only 30), so I'll bring 2 bottles of the 2014 Hammell Wine Alliance True Believer. Looking forward to meeting you all!

Best,
BN

Note: Sunday February 18, is National Drink Wine Day. Looks like it’s in honor of TWSB3.

Here's proof? http://nationaldrinkwineday.org

Who would have thought?

Anyone going to both dinners who would like to swap with me? I am having trouble with the Old World but have many options for New World. Anyone want to cover me for Friday and I will cover you for Saturday?

All reds...gonna be a very "meaty" brunch? Just to clarify, is the plan for 2 bottles per couple but they don't have to be the same? I believe there will be about 16 in attendance?

There will be 17 for brunch. You can certainly bring 2 different to brunch if you want. Looking very “meaty” for sure, right now.

If the weather is nice is there any chance the Saturday afternoon wine tasting can be done outside?? The NY weather has been particularly cold this year and it sure would be nice to catch some sunshine while we are in FL. Totally understand if not convenient, but if it is an option that would awesome!!!

We can do it pool side. I have a screened porch next to the pool where we can set up. We did this one other time for the pour to impress when the weather played nice.
