This is actually a value compared to what CA Pinots charge for a wine they hard time getting to this level. |

The nose has subtle dark cherry, menthol, and sous bois notes. The palate has dark cherries and a hint of burnt orange. I detect no secondaries after 14 years. The fruit flavors are fresh, but a bit subdued. The wine has a medium body with good balance among fruit, acid, and fine tannins. There isn't much complexity in this wine, but it has aged well and drinks well. ABV 12.5%. |
