Eucalyptus, red berries and vanilla on the nose. Strong core of red fruit on the palate with menthol coming through with time. Fine tannins that are fully integrated. Drink now. |

Dark berries, slightly over-extracted fruit, and sweet but very rough tannins. Linear and one dimensional but with time in glass, you get spice notes and hint of vanilla from the oak. Slow-oxed for 2-3 hours, which helped. However, still very tannic on the palate and will need maybe 2 years more time in bottle. Good QPR. |
