Deep inky in color with a short purple rim. This 9 year old looks so much younger than it is.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, tobacco, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, diet cola and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is still young, but already drinking wonderfully.
Nice and engaging. Complex and interesting.
Nicely balanced and fruit forward, but a little held back. An old Napa Cabernet in style.
I was waiting to drink this Cabernet for a few years now, and the truth is that I expected a bit more from it. Still delicious though.
Wine Enthusiasts 93 points. Robert Parker 96 points.
Needed a couple of hours in the decanter to open up properly.
Paired very nicely with the Prime Rib.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged for 21 months in (90% new) French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.
$300.

Starting to develop secondary notes, which make this interesting. Forest floor, soy sauce, tannins still present but not overbearing. Drink or hold.
