Drank after the ‘13 estate cab and both were delicious, but the solari showed the advantage of age and the distinction of a single vineyard. |

Everything showed well, but this ‘06 Valdicava was far and away the WON. Beautifully aged brunello, that is drinking perfectly right now. So glad I have 5 bottles left... |

We had first tried one of her wines at dinner in Panzano 2 nights before and decided to visit the winery. Her Chianti Classico is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cab sauv. The Cab sauv gives it a deeper red color, but it still has the traditional lovely Sangiovese nose. Overall it’s an easy drinking and enjoyable wine to drink anytime. |

After about an hour of air it opened up nicely and showed itself to be solid medium bodied barolo. The next bottle will get plenty of time in the decanter to see what it should be. |
