So they gave us another bottle they had, which we had tonight. It was even better. It was unlike any cab sauv I’ve had before, and reminded me more of cab franc. I wish I had better descriptors, but suffice it to say I loved it. If you have one, I recommend not waiting to drink it. |

A quick taste before decanting showed that this wine was still wrapped up tight, but three hours later it was a different story. Fresh dark fruit flavors echoed the earlier aromas, but savory notes added to the complexity. It was a great accompaniment to the dark braised chuck roast based on an Edward Lee recipe. |

This one was in my wine fridge for the last five yesrs. Msybe that’s why it still seems to have life in it. Not beyond its drinking window, but likely not getting better. So, I’d say drink in 2-3 years if it has been stored well. |
