Nose marked by strong volatile acidity with a clear acetic edge. Palate is soft and very aromatic, almost muscat-like. The overall balance is off.

Nez marqué par une acidité volatile forte avec une pointe acétique nette. Bouche moelleuse et très aromatique, presque muscatée. L'ensemble est déséquilibré.

Gourt de Mautens blanc 2019 - Vaucluse from Jerome Bressy. A great collection of white grapes in this wine ! Ripe fruits in the nose (Pineapple, gooseberry, fig,melon), on the tongue fine acidity and some butterscotch paired with orange peel. Great and long finish at the palate. Its quite young at the moment. I'm curious to taste it in a few years again. A great wine in a great year from a great region made by a great winemaker !

I love Rhone whites, so I am a bit biased. The Marsanne in this bottle brought me some toffee and pecan notes followed by an immediate coating of the mouth which helped to mask the 16.1% ABV. The high alcohol can make this tough to have as your everyday wine, maybe once I am retired!

Völlig eigenständiger Wein, leicht oxidative Noten, herrliche Vielfalt, nicht alkoholisch. Verändert sich noch positiv im Verlauf.

Rich and sweet, dense in structure, classic with notes of honey, garrigue, orangeconfit, butter; has oxidized qualities as well. Needs food, scallops with ginger og chicken a la creme, say.

Très joli vin du sud des côtes du Rhône qui allie exubérance et élégance. Très différent des 2012 et 2014 que j’avais goûté. Peut encore progresser. 91+

Einer der besten "Jungweine", die ich je getrunken habe. Gebe vorsichtige 95+ mit einem gewaltigen Potential nach oben. Chapeau, Jerome Bressy, du hast alles richtig gemacht. Jetzt schon schön zu trinken ohne ihn zu dekantieren. Unglaubliche Frucht und seidenweiche Tannine, haftet mehr als eine Minute am Gaumen. Dieser Wein hat das, was alle großen Weine ausmacht, sie sind schon in der Jugend wunderbar zu trinken. Bin gespannt, wie sich der Wein in 5-10 Jahren trinkt ...

The nose showed dark, rich black fruits, hints of raisin, black cherry, black licorice, savory herbs, crushed stone, and hints of smoke. On the palate, I found velvety textures, as masses of ripe black fruits flooded the senses, coasting on cool-toned acids, with sweet herbs, violet florals, minerals and spice. The finish was long lingering on black cherry and sweet herbal tones with hints of fine tannin tugging at the senses. This was large-scaled for sure, yet still quite balanced.

In ripe vintages, Bressy's wines can be amazing to drink young, and this Gourt de Mautens fits that to a T. Drink it now -- not because it won't age but because it is already so irresistible.

The wine is a purple/blue with insane aromas of sweet ripe raspberries, crème brule, red licorice, fresh cut hay. Sweet and richly flavored with a slight note of surmaturite, this is a fairly big wine with a long finish, soft palate-coating tannins, and an assertive style. I was looking for a wine to open at a big party this fall, with BBQ pulled pork -- this is the ticket. We'll finish all 5 of my remaining bottles for sure.

I think this will still drink well at age 10-12, but honestly, I wouldn't hold it on the assumption that it would be better than. It probably is best right now -- this is just a wine made to drink with friends in its fruit-driven, primary state. The ultimate bistro bottle... You'll feel as if you've been transported to Paris.

Open, sexy and sweet on the nose. The sweetness is deep and sound, plenty of local hern, darker spices as well, Arabian style, this could call for lamb in tagine, creamy structure, you feel the alcohol, full and fullfilling.

One more time fabulous. For me Bressy is the Gangloff of the South. To taste one time in your life. try the 2007 too.

Packed with blackberry, blueberry, licorice and some herbal notes in the background. Super concentrated fruit. On the edge becoming jammy but balancing on the right side of the edge. Drinks well now if fruit forward style perferred, but can probably age for many years. think it can gain more complexity with additional time in celler and then become subject to even higher score.

Beautiful nose, opening is very jammy, full of fruit. There is a lot going on here, very complex so I understand the scores. For me, it doesn't suit my taste profile. I'll give it an hour or so and add any notes.

Popped and poured, drunk over two days. Clear, glowing deep ruby color. Beautiful warm, relaxed, deep nose, with lots of sweet fruit, some spices, herbs.
On the palate it is pure silk. Amazingly round and a velvet texture. Wonderful depth, beautiful amarena cherry, spices, some herbs de provence. If you have no issues with the 16(!)% abv, this wine is certainly for you. Don't get me wrong, Bressy mastered the alcohol beautifully. You feel it, but it is never too hot or burning. So, this wine is very, very well made and certainly interesting. But it is not my personal style anymore. You can drink it now or within the next decade, I don't think that it will change much. 93

Full body, good color, with a soft mouth feel. The flavors were nice but different than most wines I drink. Plum upfront with a maple finish. Definitely a complex wine that many can describe other flavors. This is a Well made wine that can get better but good already.

Suprisingly sweet, which the other vintages (2008, 2009) i've tried aren't, and weren't when they were younger.
