Pnp for expertise. First nose average of burned and vegetal, then dairy notes and raspberry yogourt. Mouth full of oak, raspberry with nice acidity, low bitter, and a lot of sap and thyme. Ending sweat on oak and vegetal notes (thyme). Very good Q/P for six euros here. Not my taste. A technical wine with few personnality, but very efficient for trapping nurses. Still recommended in your weapon rack but hide it, keep your pride. Could it be sold in Mc Donalds ? Ok, next time i'll match with a BigMac...Yees I'll do.

1/9/2021 - IrvineCellar Does not like this wine: 79 points

Clear, bright maroon wine with thick legs that stick to the sides of the glass. Blackberry, dried prune, and a dusty saddle nose. Imagine a dessert scene from an old western — this smells like that. It’s rustic and remind me of the Cali-style Super Tuscan I had recently.

It’s medium-to-full bodied and off-dry, but feels big due to bold, rustic tannins and high acidity. The tannins in particular are incredibly strong, even after 4+ years of bottle aging. The palate is blackberry and strawberry with tobacco. The finish is completely overwhelmed by the mouth-drying tannins.

I need to go get some water. This was 90 points from Parker but feels out of balance to me. 😐 79 pts 2.5*

From the same bottle opened one week ago...a softie, elegant Toro with
finesse and fully aromatic of milk chocolate, plums and liquorice notes.
On the palate it was suave, delicate even with pout any trace of annoying alcohol.
I have to change my mind. What a value! Just needs time. Worths a different TN.

Quite simple, aromas of red berries are a bit obvious yet well-ensambled with wood. Monolithic anyway.
Dense, profound on the palate. Very Toro. Quite acid and alcoholic burning your throat inevitably.

Still purple colour. Heavy aromas of blue berries and oak.
Palate seems to be unbalanced with a high portion of alcohol. For what it was, not bad at all.

Todavía de un insultante color púrpura. Fuertes aromas a arándanos y a roble. La boca parece estar desequilibrada con una alta proporción de alcohol. Para lo que fue, no mal del todo.

A quite decent Spanish wine with concentrated fruit and clear use of barrique. Went down well, but did not excite us - no real flaw, but no real charm either.

Great value for money. Quite big at the moment (the 2006 is much gentler and more sophisticated) but a great glugger, cheap enough to cook with and good enough to go inside the cook. Quite a lot of black fruit but not quite new world in style. Given how cheap it is I'd give it more than 89 in value for money terms

nose: good nose of smoke, blackfruits, cedar, red cherries and some nice tones of red fruits. Classic toro nose but lacking a bit of depth

taste: nice medium feel with medium tannins and medium+ acidity. Black and red cherries with red fruits, cedar, and hints of black licorice

overall: an excellent wine. Well balanced but lacking a slight bit of depth to really drive it. Classic flavors and feel, this is perfect for getting a profile of the region

Georgoues pink, the nose is of vanilla, cherry, light spice, flowers and strawberry. In the mouth Spices, cherry and minerals. Very nice can’t wait to see final product. One note the color is intense, and in some ways has more in common with Pinot Noir than with a Rosado wine. Only 4hours of skin contact to achieve this! NR

Color is dark and brooding.
A bit closed down at first the nose shows vanilla oak, coffee and anise seed. In the mouth big tannins show that this needs time to calm down. For now the fruit is hidden with light mint and a beautiful streak of minerality that runs through it. The best part is how well intergrated the oak is, not overpowereing but rather it works as a support structure that with time I think will highlight the fruit well. Drink 2007-2012 3.5/5
