Nice earthiness on the nose, with black plum, dark cherry and inviting aromas. Palate offers nice ripe fruit, consistent with the nose. Earthiness persists a bit but then gives over to dark and pleasurable fruit. Give it some time in the glass or decant and it will open up and flesh out a bit more. Fun and flavorful. Paired with an aged KC Strip and it was a perfect complement. Nice price point for what is in the bottle. Not bad for a high volume produced wine. |
