Soft on the moderately sweet palate with tropical fruit, but I've had spätlese that came across sweeter, so that was a nice touch. Long, slightly sweet finish but a bit lacking in acid. Recommend drink sooner than later. |

Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, pears & apricot with citrus notes & overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle, minerals, slate, honey with a slight hint of petrol in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced, viscous, rich & ripe fruit flavors of dried apricots, sweet peaches & green apples with some citrus notes, minerals, slate notes & honey. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at 20 years of age & may be close to its peak of development although it should hold here for several more years. However, any further development may be incremental. Fill was in neck above the capsule; cork was clean & intact. |

PnPed and served slightly chilled with a brunch of scrambled eggs and cudighi and Trenary Toast. Pale yellow. Nose of petrol, pears, apples. Some light citrus notes too. Ever so slightly effervescent on the palate, medium body, high acid, medium minus sweetness. Tart orchard fruits and minerality on the palate, lifting freshness, decent finish. This seemed to be a crowd pleaser and had enough acid to cut through the greasy brunch plate. Yum |
