Nebiollo at its best. Frucht, Gewürz, seidig im Mund, Tanine sind da aber nicht Übertrieben. alkohol 13.5%. elegant und trinkig wow 1a preis leistung!

very light and bright garnet colour and light body. floral notes permeate the fragrant nose of cherry, blood orange peel, ripe tomato flesh, and gravelly soil. light bodied and brightly acidic in mouth, red fruits flavours that echo the nose glide over chalky and slightly woody but very pleasant tannic base. anise and pepper spice add complexity. very good length with a tomato note.

in its drinking window now and for another eight or so years.

13% AbV; from 50-100y.o. vines; three-month maceration, followed by eighteen months' ageing in 50HL casks; spends an additional twenty-four months in bottle before release.

Passion fruit, flowers, asparagus, and bubblegum. Deserves some aeration. Fresh and harmonious, with a long citrussy finish. Reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc, and better than the 2022 Calafuria tasted next to it. Drink now - 2025.

a very good Franciacorta from Bosio which in my opinion ranks very high for bollicine, behind -maybe -only Ca del Bosco (which is much costrly, btw). After a tough bike ride to Passo della Caldarola in Val Trebbia

Colour: medium garnet
Nose: medium(+) intensity, tertiary, developing. Red and black plum, plum jam, bramble, cassis. Tamarillo. Black pepper, tomato stem. Some savoury character and maybe the start of forest floor character.
Palate: dry, medium acidity, medium(+) tannins, medium alcohol (13%), medium bodied. Medium intensity, short finish. Red and black plum, plum jam, bramble, cassis. Tamarillo. Black pepper, tomato stem. Some savoury character and maybe the start of forest floor character.
Conclusions: good -- let down slightly by the short finish. Can drink now, but suited to further ageing. P&P (pop&pour), not decanted.

This has been open for a couple hours now. Aromas are on the lighter side for Pinot, showing a good balance of nice light fruit and some earthiness. Palate is light in body, showing notes of underbrush, herbs, light strawberry tones, and as its held in the mouth, acid does begin to build, but it doesn't present very obviously upon entry. Builds some froth. Nice soft, integrated acidity on the finish with nice light red fruits and soil spice. Overall a pretty simple wine, but put together very elegantly. A very nice wine for the cost of entry, and always fun to have Pinot from a place like Lombardia.

By the bottle at The Hub at Weston in Weston, VT. This needs crazy amounts of air. Nose is full of old library books, soy sauce, VA, finally coming around to clay and cherries after like 2 hours in the decanter. Palate is sharp with more VA, raisins, a ketchup-y umami with a violet hard candy finish. Light body and tannins are pretty resolved. I don’t think it's flawed but maybe poor storage? Or just way over the hill? Or maybe way under the hill? Lol I have no idea. Probably wouldn’t order again though.

The Bosio Franciacorta Rose was very good, had that earlier this week, need to do a rating. Coming from this direction I wonder wether the Nature is some kind of mistake?!

Very crisp sparkler. Perfect on a late spring day. Lots of citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and almond. Fine mousse with brioche. At under $30, this is a good QPR.

Excellent. Zero dosage, no added sulphites (32 mg/l), 50 "moons" on lees, BdB. Complex, mineral expression of limestone. Fine perlage. Adjacent to Franciacorta. Delicious if fully priced at list price.

Zero dosage. Linear citric nose with elements of white chocolate and a nice smoky overlay, but ultimately rather narrow aromatically. Citric palate with a notable lack of freshness. Probably didn’t help that this followed 2 bottles of fresh, acidity-driven Champagnes.

Colour: medium(-) translucent ruby
Nose: medium(+) intensity, secondary, youthful. Red plum, strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate. Blueberry? Strawberry jam. Ripe tomatoes, tomato stem. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla.
Palate: dry, medium(+) tannins (fine grained, smooth, sandpapery, well integrated), medium acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium(-) bodied. Medium intensity, medium(-) length finish. Red plum, strawberry, cranberry, pomegranate. Blueberry. Strawberry jam. Ripe tomatoes, tomato stem. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla.
Conclusions: good. Quite interesting! Clearly Nebbiolo but quite different to Barolo or Barbaresco. I think this from somewhere near Valtellina? Can drink now, but suited to further ageing. P&P (pop&pour), not decanted.
