A recent library late release by the winery. Decanted for one hour. Inky dark ruby colour. Ripe fruit - dark cherry, blackberry, plum, dates and fig - followed by pastille and spice notes, and finally joined by lots of dark chocolate on the finish, with medium-fine, slightly drying tannin, medium-level acidity and very good length. Some warmth from the alcohol. Dark, concentrated and ambitious, but not special. Overripe, over extracted and overpriced.

2/3/2023 5:28:00 PM - I tried it today and I don't agree with your opinion. Sure, the wine needs a lot of air but then you have a real beauty in the glass. It is still too young to drink it now. After opening it up half a day there was no overripe fruit anymore to taste. It was elegant and balanced. Keep it for another 10 years ++

This is precise and perfection. So many different tasting flavors. It is so complex. In the beginning black tee and graphite and then suddenly juicy and fruity. And then again it tastes like southern rhone wine and then like Bordeaux. What a beauty!

Decanted 4+ hours, as I do for all SQN, absolutely fantastic! I can’t fully remember but I don’t think I have rated more than 5 bottles 100 points in my life, this might be the best!

Decanted for 1,5h . Dark red colour . Nose is a little defensive at the moment , but uniform . Taste is ok , but also nice and uniform ( BDX , left bank , Sociando ?? ) . Smooth , cassis , low tannics ...
Sorry thats not my style ! All guys how like a "Susi-wine" could buy and drink it .
I prefer the old style from Sociando , which is more earthy , typical northern left bank , tannic and animalic tones ect.
Drink now or when you ever like , or buy a 10€ wine from everywhere , it will be the same .
86 Points / 15,5 Points .

Well, fully mature was a few years ago, but there were still enough ripe red fruits packed with wet earth, tobacco leaf, smoke, cigar box, cedar, and thyme to make it interesting. The soft, earthy herb and tobacco touches to the red fruits were quite nice, even if the wine was not all that deep. If you have a bottle, drink up.

Fron a half bottle.

Feels very young, needs much air.

Oily feel, the wine works trough the middle of the palate. Some quality is obvious but the wood and the wine are as of now living slightly separate lives. Aftertaste dominated by butter and (pop)corn.

Would be interesting to retry in a year's time.

Nevertheless, a bit disappointing; the better Mosel Pinots offer more consistency and freshness than this.

This wine is a typical Marco Parusso style Barolo. Smooth and easy drinking. Not a freaky and funky style. You always know what you get with a Parusso!

Evaluated this wine to see if I should add it to my cellar. It has a very attractive nose with lots of unresolved tannins but the acidity is not there to become a great wine. That is a shame. If you do not mind some aggressive tannins and like raw Barolo fruit (it packs a punch) buy this wine. This wine is not for me but I do like the nose and the massive fruit aroma’s.

Fully intact as I would have expected from a Cordier from a fine vintage despite other less favourable notes.

Fully mature delightful Bordeaux as one too rarely gets to drink it.

Approaching my personal unicorn - 1982 Margaux (@Home): Glass: Riedel Sommelier Bordeaux
Bottle fill level: upper shoulder. Decanted and drunk over 3 hours.
Clear, deep garnet color with tawny edges. Clean, medium intense, fully developed and complex nose. Very multi layered and constantly changing. Not as expressive as hoped, but very beautiful: Cedar wood, red fruit, fine pipe tobacco, underwood, pencil lead, very few brett and a bit of soy.
Dry, medium+ and perfectly integrated acidity and fine tannin. Medium body and alcohol (I would guess around 12,5%). Very elegant, almost cool taste but with a lot of tension and pressure. Complex and ever changing medium+ intense aromas with lots of red berries, sour cherry, cassis, fine oak, green pepper, herbs, leather, some tiny little notes of maturity (soy and lovage, mushrooms), dark 90% pure chocolate. Without the maturity notes it would have been perfect!
All aromas linger on in the long, velvet finish. The combination of the acidity combined with the cool elegance and silky texture makes this wine juicy, mouthwatering and very pleasurable to drink. I doubt, that this bottle would improve much with more time, but it will certainly stay at this level for several more years if stored properly.

Needs to be decanted for a couple of hrs and consumed with food. Deep ruby, dark fruit with spices and a hint of leather on the nose and palate. Good tannin but perhaps too acidic. Long acidic finish
