Light yellow color. Nose of ripe lemon, peach, light toast and hazelnuts. Rich yet with a racy acidity, good balance and moderate complexity. Refreshing long finish.

Precise and chiselled; marvelously elegant; still youthful; yet oddly lacking in that random quality of emotion, that is either in the wine or the drinker, to raise it into the top level.

Bottle 4 of 6, last had this wine ~15 mos ago.
Bottled 05/2015 and DG 09/2018, 100% Chardonnay.
This lovely, bright BdB set a beautiful exclamation point to my Friday and EOW.
Tangy lemon curd and zest, notes of Krispy Kreme donut glaze, a warm loaf of freshly baked bread, white peppery spice, and some chalky saline notes.
The finish goes on and on, with acidity that pulls in the cheeks, and persistent chalk and minerality that begs for another sip.
Delicious, drink this 2018 DG through 2028+, but sooner than later for me, as it seems to be in a sweet spot.

High end Champagne 2012 vs 2013, tasted blind (Bad Ragaz): 5g dosage. Light yellow, expressive nose of lemon with a touch of saffron, attractive and complex. Generous palate with bruised apples, dry, low dosage feeling. Lingering finish.

We had it after the L‘Apotre 2011. I would go with agrapart. Fresher, less oxidative and with pleasant tertiary aromas. Difficult herbal year. 93

sweet butter, green flowers, lemon, vague stone fruits... incisive acid, so mineral and cutting, buried richness, great length... this is super young, it will develop positively for years, but still a delight right now

Extremely complex aroma of citrus zest, herbs and some candied lemon. Lemon, apricot and honeysuckle flavors with a long stone fruit finish. Light and elegant in style but also powerful with tons of flavor. Intense mineral backbone. Fresh and well balanced. This is exceptionally tasty and unique.

Lime blossom, lemon curd, oyster, yuzu - immeasurably better after open for 2 hours.
Zesty and fresh but still with generosity, fattening up gorgeously. 94-95

Medium gold. Pronounced nose of brioche some funk, on the palate high acid, medium alcohol, full body. Apples almonds, ginger, more oxidized than I prefer, very restrained bubbles, long finish. It packs intensity on the palate but also finishes kind of soft. Good.

Amazing value for this BdB given Champagne's pricing. Such texture and multi layered experience. Treated it as a white burgundy by given it some air and a brief decant, revealing even more structure and creamier chardonnay notes.

Charles Lachaux lunch (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Old vines on a "terroir plus argileux". Vinified in oak and aged sur lattes under natural cork. Bottled May 2017, disgorged September 2022 with a dosage of 3 gr/l. Elegant and full-bodied, deep and layered nose, good stuffing of ripe fruit, chalky energy, rich and vinous finish.

Chalky and saline enough for oysters. 2016 base and disgorged 2020, so some time to settle which is important for champagnes. Previous bottles were tightly wound and had an acidic streak; this one is just about in the zone with evident aromatics and nice palate texture.

Home-drinking. After 2 somewhat perplexing Agrapart 08 (Mineral and Avizoise) this is more conform to my idea of that grower s production. Unmistakably Blanc de Blanc with great purity, zing and drive. The research will go on to establish whether those Agraparts are made to be enjoyed young only or also hold the potential to rival Grandes Maisons elite cuvees after extended cellar aging.

At restaurant in Singapore, BYOB. More than serviceable but has lost the zing of a young BdB made in a tight and energetic style as Agrapart's. There was a distinct honeyed and nutty upfront note giving way to a rather compact and muted palate. I bought this at auction and cannot positively conclude this is natural evolution for this wine or rather a consequence of suboptimal storage. I will revisit and benchmark with a 13 of different provenance as I am very curious to find out if Agraparts can be long term agers. Eclipsed on the night by a '15 disgorgment Egly VP.

Bottled May 2017, disgorged February 2021. Quite golden, and not very fizzy. Open, airy nose. Creamy, and with a butterscotch note that then developed through the midpalate into something sharper and greener. Lingering (but not especially delicious) finish. This doesn't seem as straightforwardly tasty as the 2022 disgorged version.
