Empieza con establo, madera vieja y humo.Con el aire, la nariz se va abiendo y se pone más elegante, aunque la fruta no logra pasar realmente. En boca volumen medio o incluso medio bajo. Hay fruta aqui, tanto ciruelas cocidas como guindas frescas. El final amargo al inicio, pero al abrirse, desaperece el amargor y queda con taninos ricos, de lija fina. Developing and pronounced nose. P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol (13.5%), medium (+) body, pronounced intensity and medium finish. C: Out of balance with the charcoal and petroleum smell so insanely dominant. Acceptable quality. Drink now....if you must! GUESSES: New World owing to fruit forward nature. Thought it was a warm climate owing to slightly stewed nature of blackberries. Bitter Charcoal put me at Carmeneres door. 1-3 years old owing to purple highlights. Final guess, Carmenere from Chile. I drunk more than a dozen 2011 Gran Reserva Chardonnay from Ochagavia, and considered that wine to have one of the best QPRs in the whole world. It was an amazing wine for the price, with a great body, creamy, round in the mouth, and with balanced acidity and oak exposure. So I had great expectations for this 2014, although I was disappointed to find out it is not sourced from Casablanca Valley anymore, but from Limarí Valley, which is a bit more to the north. My previous experiences with Chardonnay from this valley were not good (save a Quebrada Seca from Maycas del Limarí), and my fears were confirmed - this vintage has nothing to do with 2011. It's a totally different wine. I don't know if it is the terroir, or if the malolatic fermentation was reduced, or if the barrels are different, but this wine is tart, with faint notes of apricot, vanilla, lime and avocado, but lots of unripe fruit. Little minerality and too much acidity makes it look like a sub-$5 wine, but it is closer to $15. What is going on here? I regret now having given one of this to a friend thinking it was good... 87-88pts being generous. A real shame. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (1)

Medium green pepper and white pepper with lesser jammy fruit, black current and wood. On the palate, M- round Jammy fruit, boxwood leaves, wood with lesser wet leaves. Medium acidity, dry(a hint of sweetness), medium- ripe tannin, medium+ well integrate warming alcohol, medium body. Medium-, A hint of caramel, vanilla, toffee and lesser bay leaves in the medium+ finish. Good balance between the structure factors, especially for the alcohol, good pleasant oaky length(maybe American oak?), okay intensity, good complexity. A very good table wine. Well controlled alcohol, well developed and complex flavor profile, but weaker concentration, thus 87-88. Well developed for the vague orange edge, developed flavor profile, such as jammy, caramel, bayleaves and the ripe tannin. Can be enjoyed now or within 1-2 years.
