3/18/2024 - VAGenius Likes this wine: 92 pointsQuick decant. Nose shows black cherry, Maraschino cherry, and roses. Supple, vibrant red cherry palate laced with minerals, lilac, black peppercorns, and carnations. Finish delivers a quick zip of thin tannins and acidity followed by black tea, raisin, and unripe raspberry. Palate's the start and the finish is a bit disappointing. |

2/29/2024 - fitchbuck Likes this wine: 91 pointsOnto its tertiary phase, and about ready to bomb-out... probably within the year. Nice fruit for what remains, but without the tannic tension this has become rather one-dimensional. Easily quaffable. Drink now. |

3/2/2024 - tenor12bucks Likes this wine: 92 pointsHaven, Tampa. Big! Big acid, big alcohol, big tannin, big pleasure. Decanted for as long as we could at the dinner table, with aggressive swirling: this significantly opened up the aromas and softened the tannins. This wine likes to be slapped around. All blackberry juiciness with a bite, lovely finish, and demands a hunk of grilled rare or medium rare meat. Masculine, juicy, alcoholic, and straightforward: sometimes just what the night calls for. |

2/14/2024 - Benj wrote: NREven after 3 hours this still hadn’t fully opened up yet, so I’d give this years or many hours in a decanter. Nonetheless, excellent density, very much Petit Verdot. Big, tannic, rich, dark. Good fruit character, a bit dusty. Problem is, the perceived alcohol is much too high, making this feel somewhat bitter and disjointed, so best with rich food. 14.5% |

1/3/2024 - CWilliam wrote: NRDark black color with a slight meniscus. On nose, dark cherry, dark chocolate, savory herbs, saline and blackberry. On palate, blackberry, black cherry, plum and meat notes with stewed tomato flavor with lots of air (didn't like that). Medium tannins, high acidity, medium+ body and medium+ finish. Enjoyable but not a re-buy. Needs food. I usually really like savory wines like this but the tomato paste flavor knocked down the score for me. 90+/- |

1/2/2024 - classicalspin Likes this wine: 92 pointsCorovin'ed a glass to see how this was coming -- I believe it has a long way to go. Broad shouldered and muscular, will need more time to fully resolve. If this fully knits together it could be something special indeed. I'm not touching a bottle for a couple more years. |

12/27/2023 - vino vidi vici Likes this wine: NRTasty juice - too bad it's clocking in at 15+% ABV. The excessive alcohol diminishes the experience... :( |

12/23/2023 - Gman_21 Likes this wine: 91 pointsMaybe didn't let it breathe enough...a little tight for me, but opened up by the end of the meal. Paired with braised duck legs and not as good as the petit verdot we had side by side with it |
