Good balance of sweet blackberry fruit, fine tannins and nice spicy acidity on the finish. Went very well with grilled steak tips. Still on the youngish side, should improve for the next 3-5 years. |

The palate shows great balance with fresh acidity and grainy tannins - this is a young wine still. Nice fruit - blackberries, brambles, plums - then warm spice and cocoa leaves. The rough side of the Tannat gives the wine a nice, rustic edge which I really find pleasant. The ending is medium-long with menthol, oak, and more spice from the alcohol. |
