4/30/2024 - Dave Dewar Likes this wine: NRPopped and poured. Medium amber, really quite dark for a white wine, showing its age. Nose elicited a "wow" from me: lovely aromas of dried apricots, tangerine pith, sweet hay, burnt butter, and vanilla. Replays plus apples on the palate. Full body, medium-high acid, XD, medium alcohol (13%). Long finish of brown apples. Importantly, after 30 minutes or so, the nose and palate completely changed to something more like sherry, which for me was not an improvement. |

Much like its predecessor, dark red, almost purple in colour. Nose has vanilla notes with a dash of coffee and cloves. Full in the mouth: dry on the front of the plate, with developing ripe blackberry flavours; the long finish is quite dry. Looking forward to trying a few more bottles over the coming years. |

Aroma intensity medium and medium complexity. Tannins round and medium, Acid fairly high to complement the high alcohol, sometimes drowning out the flavor intensity which is medium plus. Great value at a $12 price though. |
