5/4/2024 - glou.sf Likes this wine: 90 pointsGood flavors on the nose, but compared to the Pignan and Rayas this showed much more alcoholic heat, accompanied by cherries and some flowers. I also go the heat on the palate, but there are nice fruit notes, and an herbal quality that keep it from being unbalanced. Good finish. A nice wine, but not really close to the other two. |

4/30/2024 - La Ronde Likes this wine: 92 pointsVery distinctive, with loads of garrigue and mostly blueberry and wild strawberry fruit. I have to say though that this wine is teetering on the brink of being hot and every time I thought "sad, it's hot" it wasn't-as if the fruit had just enough sway to dial that back in. Hold the other bottle for 5. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (4) |

4/28/2024 - 831900_ Likes this wine: 94 pointsMaybe the easiest way to describe it is: a baby Fonsalette. Beautiful nose of anise, berries, and sweat. Really good except the transition to finish is a little disjointed, giving the impression of a sweet finish that moves apart from the acid. |

4/18/2024 - Chuck Miller wrote: NRMuch improved over my last bottle of this about 5 years ago. No petillance, just a touch of heat on the finish. Moderate tannins. 3 bottles left, I would guess these have another couple years on this plateau. Way overvalued in the secondary market, but that’s a different issue. |

4/17/2024 - manemis Likes this wine: 93 pointsColour looks rather brick/thin, and more aged than just 10 years. Lots of smell jumping out of the glass after 1h in the decanter. Rosehips, mineral and tea on the nose. Balanced palette, with medium long and well integrated tannins. Alcohol is somewhat present/noticeable. Great wine! |

4/8/2024 - Collector1855 wrote: 93 pointsConsistent to my last showing. Expressive nose, jumping from the glass with exuberant, raspberry and cinnamon spice aromas. The light translucent colour shows of gentle extraction and a wine that was built around fragrance not structure. A mini Rayas for a much lower price point. 93-94 |

3/26/2024 - thefoxinthebox Likes this wine: NRVery light in colour with a lifted nose of tobacco, herbs and red fruit. For me, distinctly blue fruit (plums and blueberries) with non-intrusive levels of acidity and tannin and overall just a more cool expression than any other Cotes du Rhone I’ve ever had. Delicious. |

4/1/2024 - B Paul wrote: NRThe nose here has a very strong honey component, along with some strawberry and balsamic. Fairly big at present, and this is not showing the nuance (on the nose or palate) of some of the other des Tours wines I've had of late. Perhaps that will come with time. Still, a nice wine for sure. |

3/25/2024 - pbaek wrote: NRSlowly arriving and certainly a ripe vintage for this wine, but boy is this luxurious, exuberant Grenache. There’s certainly kirsch and Christmas spices on the nose, brown fruit notes. But there’s also flowers and mint and clear red fruit. Rich and ripe cherry fruited palate, pepper notes, spices. There’s lift and air, but make no mistake this is not a ballerina. I love this, and I think there is still 3-5 years to the best window to drink this. Needs some slow cooked food. |

3/23/2024 - DBdeParis Likes this wine: NRDecanted off minimal sediment 8 hours in advance, left in open decanter. Soft alluring nose with ripe French plum/black cherry edge. On the palate nearly perfect in flavors, balance. Tannins faded into the background with just a slight drying edge on the finish. This bottle is close to Vacqueyras perfection. No rush to drink up but the palate is so open and accessible (with air) I'll say it's in the middle of a long peak. |
