Not sure of disgorgement date. 100% Pinot Meunier. Biodynamic farmed, non-dose. 800 bottles, this is bottle 100. No rough edges here, has a refined feel. Some spice, old wood and white pepper in the aroma. Great tangy acid and energy. Delicious.

T's 45th Birthday (Søllerød Kro): Very high acidity and not a lot of fruit. A rare wine but I really struggled with this wine.
It seemed to get more and more off balance the more air it got and it was never really a pleasure to drink. It did have a lovely intensity and acidity but the structure just got more and more enhanced with time.
As my rating indicates, there was some pleasure in the wine but it was more weird than great.

11% ABV. Bottle no. 89 / 850. PNP into Grassl Liberte glass (“Flower” day): Pale golden with some cloudiness.

Aromatic citrus fruits focused like zests and grapefruits with peels, orchard fruits like quince and pear with sea salt, seaweed like umami and minerality based marina notes, florals and minty spices.

Strong streak of minerality, high acidity and high toned, salt preserved citrus fruits with peels. Almost like sandalwood woody spices, slight hint of oxidative nuances that adds to the complexity. Great energy level and a clean and persistent finish.

94 points.

Meunier of a small plot of clay soils on a bed of limestone, in the municipality of Connigis, in the Vallée du Surmelin. FA with native yeasts and aging for 10 months in used French oak barrels. Subsequent maturation in the bottle with its lees.
Tirage: July 20, 2018.
Dégorgement: January 24, 2020.
No. 169 / 950 bottles.
Citrus, ripe white fruit, quince, floral, vanilla, toasted, spicy, fresh, complex, elegant, wild, creamy, vinous, long and persistent. Delicious!!!

So delicate mousse. Intense peach liqueur on the front and then kind of a sea shells vibe. Bright and growing floral aromatics on nose and back palate. Nice intensity and balance. Alternately amps the liqueuer and then the mineral. Great stuff.

Blind bubbles tasting (That Wine Place): Blinded. 100% Meunier harvested on 7th Sept 2018, asked in oak barrel for 10 months, triage on 26 Jul 2019 with zero dosage, biodynamic wine making. Pandan, red apple, strawberry, lots of structure on the palate.

Harvested 7 Sep 2017, triaged by hand 20 July 2018, disgorged on 24 Jan 2020.

12% ABV. Bottle no. 829 /1100. PNP into Zalto Universal glass (“No” day): Medium copperish golden to the eyes.

Very fine mousse. Yellowish fruits and stone fruits like apricots. Salt-preserved citrus fruits too. Florals and brioche. Very complex already.

Very highly minerality on palate and great but not exactly high acidity. Very well integrated and persistent, clean finish.

95 points easy to me.

Lovely bronze color. Beautiful lemon aromas. Fine, active bead. Crisp on the palate, rich flavors of Granny Smith apples, apricot, lemon. Great acidity, nice minerality, fabulous balance. Finishes long, clean and refreshing. 100% Pinot Meunier. Disgorged 1/24/2020.

Tras catar la añada 2017 llega a mis manos la 2018, monovarietal de Meunier, procedente de Connigis (Valle del Surmelin). La fermentación se debe a levaduras indígenas, el vino base se crió durante 10 meses en barricas de roble con battonages que siguen los ciclos lunares. Trabajan en biodinámica. Es un champagne sin dosage (zero dossage). La vendimia tuvo lugar el 7 de setiembre de 2018, el "tirage" el 26 de Julio de 2019 (día Flor). Color dorado con destellos anaranjados. Botella 755 de 1500 botellas. No es el típico champagne de perfil maduro, más bien destaca por su frutilla roja del bosque crujiente y su mineralidad, hay toques florales y algún ligero matiz ahumado. En boca tiene buen ataque, con un paso cremosos y con buena integración del carbónico, con burbuja pequeña. Acidez intensa, de nuevo reaparece la mineralidad, con matices salinos, largo y con raza.

A little Las Vegas hospitality (Las Vegas, NV): 2017 base. I quite liked this, despite my general preference for big house champagne. Good fruit and richness on the palate, even if the acidity is particularly pronounced. Quite a bit of citrus character too, and the mushroomy meunier elements don't show up until the midpalate. I'm told that with air more of the natty champagne character started showing.

The normal cuvee a while back was much better and more classicallyproportioned. Only 260 bottles produced so I presume the pricing is on scarcity rather than quality.

No cage here instead just a traditional cork with glued on foil. Absolutely terrible and a joke for the price. Drinks like a still Pet Nat with super sour yellow fruit, chlorine, and funk. Easy dump down the drain. Am I missing something here other than no secondary ferment or dosage?

Vigorous bead. Lovely nose of lemon curd and basil. Lots of fresh brioche on the rich palate, lemons, apples. Crisp acidity, very nice balance. Finishes moderately long with notes of lemon zest. 100% Pinot Meunier. 11.7% ABV. Became a little heavier on the plate with the second glass.

Dibbs's birthday: 100% Meunier, zero dosage and only 340 bottles produced. Predominantly green apples on the nose that reminded me of Bereche. The oak use gave some heft to the wine that balanced the elegant fruit well (which also brought me to 2013 as a guess for the vintage). Very.well-proportioned champagne with nothing out of place, made in an oxidative style but not overly so. Under 12% alcohol.

From a nano-winery that has started operations in 2012 with a tiny 0,4-hecater parcel in the far reaches of the Marne Valley. 100% Pinot Meunier harvested on September 18th 2014, fermented spontaneously, aged for 34 months in oak casks, bottled unfiltered on July 26th, 2016. Bottle #293/500. 11,5% alcohol.

Lemon yellow color. Savory, somewhat woody and slightly funky nose with a vibrant, fruity undercurrent of cloudberries and mirabelle plums, some spicy red apple, light creamy tones, a little bit of developed dried fruits, autumnal hints of damp leaves and a touch of smoke. Despite the obvious - but not overdone - oak influence, the nose feels very seductive and full of character. The wine feels firm, acid-driven and quite electric on the palate with a medium-to-moderately full body and intense flavors of pronounced salinity, steely minerality, tart lemony citrus fruits, some creamy oak tines, a little bit of wild waxy funk, light pithy notes of grapefruit and a hint of crunchy white currants. The bracing acidity lends tremendous sense of focus and structure to the wine. The finish feels very long, noticeably salty and very mouth-watering with crisp, lean flavors of lemon juice and apple peel bitterness, some steely minerality, a little bit of creamy oak, light waxy tones, a sharp hint of key lime and a touch of sweet oak spice.

An excellent, enormously intense and impressively complex Coteaux Champenois with the hallmark acidity and pronounced salinity of the appellation, wonderful depth of flavor and noticeable length. Although you can taste the prolonged period the wine has stayed in oak, the use of oak feels very judicious here - it doesn't overwhelm anything, only complements the fruit and adds to the complexity. Feels remarkably youthful for its age - I can expect this wine to age wonderfully for a long time. Not particularly affordable at 70€, but is one of those few Coteaux Champenois wines that can deliver for that price. An outstanding wine, highly recommended.

Fine, vigorous bead. The nose has a lemon brioche note. Clean crisp fruit, lemon curd, thyme. Pleasant acidity, good balance. Finishes moderately long and subtle. Very nice.
