4/19/2024 - winetuning Likes this wine: 90 pointsKoyu lal renginde, kenarlarda çok hafifçe turuncu röfleler. |

4/9/2024 - valecnik wrote: 89 pointsThe ripe, fleshy peach note at the core of this wine is pleasant, but I again come back to the fact that at 14.1% ABV, it's a hell of a heavy rosé. Has very nice minerality too, but overall I'd prefer if it were lighter and more crisp. |

3/12/2024 - Amberissey Likes this wine: 89 pointsWhite pepper, dark flowers, and lavender on the nose. One of the most floral noses I’ve ever experienced. Also kirsch with air. Damson and kirsch on the palette, more fruit on day 2. Alcohol well hidden. Very nice. It was significantly more balanced between fruit and flowers on day 2, so I would recommend a decant for a few hours. |

3/9/2024 - JonBarnes1 Likes this wine: NRPoured via Coravin with aeration head. I was concerned this would be closed without decanting based on prior comments but it was open off the bat. Nose wasn’t so much reserved as peppery and almost piney; not the typical Racines bouquet. On the palate it was familiar Racines: dark dark fruits with plenty of reglisse and sweet herbs. Mission fig and black olive tucked away too. The midpalate is more bitter leading to a finish somewhat medicinal and yeah a touch alcoholic. I had modest expectations for this vintage at this age and this handily surpassed them. I won’t be in a rush to drink the rest of my 2014s. To be sure it ain’t ‘05, ‘07, ‘09 or ‘10, but still nothing to write off. |

2/17/2024 - Lanzelot Likes this wine: 93 pointsThe wine is deep ruby with notes of red cherries and black berries, black pepper and spices on the nose. On the palate the wine has intense aromas of red sweet cherries, prunes, and also a very nice touch of leather. The wine has e very good balance - especially beautiful is the very well integrated acidity that gives the wine a lively character and counterbalances the alcohol. The tannins are medium and give the wine a good structure. The body is full, the finish is long and juicy. Over all this wine is really grate. I had it with a beef ragout and it was a grate combination. Glas I used: Riedel Veritas Old World Syrah |

2/13/2024 - Dhunternm Likes this wine: 90 pointsFrom Magnum purchased pre-arrival from Berkeley. Developed but not at all over the hill. Rich and round with nice sweet dark fruit, fine tannin and adequate remaining acidity. Delicious with food at a friend's Fat Tuesday potluck: jambalaya, red beans and rice, grilled catfish etouffee. Definitely "bam". |

1/27/2024 - Vascular46 Likes this wine: 92 pointsI enjoyed this full bodied Gigondas with red fruit on the nose and palate. There were additional notes of licorice and herbs on the mid palate and finnish. Drank over 2 nights without much loss of fruit. Sorry I don't have more. |

1/17/2024 - Big Pauillac Likes this wine: 91 pointsGreen peppery forests and licorice, blackcurrants, blueberries and mineral notes. Beautifully rich, layered, textured bottle than was super today and will age well for a few more years. Fabulously smooth. There is nothing not to like about this. Great value |

1/13/2024 - oenanthe Likes this wine: 89 pointsA dark medium red, bright and clear. Very nice nose, red cherry and strawberry, some floral notes. Far less rustic than you think Gigondas would be, this is sleek and quite plush, in a great spot right now but should keep on going for a good long while. I don't see how it age will improve it, I would drink it over the next 1-2 years even it would keep for 10. Lovely. |

1/5/2024 - DFBW Likes this wine: 91 pointsPulled out of the cellar on a whim and given an hour to settle and two in a decanter. Still a little chill on it to begin with. Poured into a nice big Riedel Performance glass and shows a bright ruby colour in the glass. Unmistakeably Rhône on the nose which follows through onto the palate - savoury, meaty and gamey but with some good dark berry fruit shining through and a lovely hint of garrigue. Medium finish and just a little polish on the back end. Altogether a very tasty and good value Gigondas that is at the beginning of its drinking window. Very drinkable right now but will probably improve over the next few years before peaking in around five. Well worth buying young and cellaring for around 10 years. |

1/2/2024 - JonBarnes1 Likes this wine: NROpened with 2007 VT and 2006 Telegramme. This played to expectations: clearly made with similar touch but more rustic and more reglisse / roadside herbs. I believe this is peak or just past for Racines, but I’m holding Terrasse du Diable 2007 for a few more years, as in my view Terrasse falls off more slowly though it starts with less. |

12/28/2023 - JonBarnes1 Likes this wine: NRThis is in a great place, and continues its upward trajectory. Maybe prime time. Nothing missing from this (compared to 2020 which we opened at same time and has lost a step): attractive nose, inky fruits and still dense on the palate; everything in balance including remaining tannins on the medium finish. As a reference point, this tasting tells me to leave my VT of same vintage (but magnum) untouched for several more years. This 750ml Pallieres meanwhile is beautiful and probably not getting better…drink up and enjoy. |
