Super well balanced dry riesling. Crisp without being overly acid and some light citrus and herbal notes. Paired with Indian food well.

Good QPR. Would buy again.

Paired with some spicy creole-style jambalaya. Very refreshing and not too sweet at all. Apple, melon and floral notes with mineral finish.

Pale lemon in color.

Strong nose with citrus and lots of diesel notes.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Off dry on the palate with mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel.

Showing lemons, honeysuckle, limes, ripe apples, pears, peaches, spices, minerals, sea salt and light river rocks.

Nice finish with honey and spices.

This is a very enjoyable Riesling from Germany.

Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. A good party wine.

Good by itself and will pair nicely with spicy Asian food.

10.5% alcohol by volume.

A light ruby in the glass typical Pinot Noir color. On the nose, it seemed quite reserved not aromatic. With some time in the glass, you can get notes of pomegranate, raspberry, dried cherry, and white pepper. On the early pallet, the wine lacks real body and flavor feeling almost watery thin with hints of dried red fruit. On the mid pallet, it is more typical in the flavor of a pinot, but the flavors are so muted. The finish is short not complex and low in body.

Wonderful nose with fresh apples and raisins. Some clementine on the palate with a crisp and refreshing finish. Great with spicy affair as there is just a touch of sugar on the back end. Pairing with short rib massaman curry.

Dr. Heidemanns-Bergweiler Dornfelder 2021: Medium ruby in color; cherries, raspberries, and dried herbs on the nose; low acidty; low tannins; tastes like pomegranate juice. Not a big fan of sweet wines, but it tastes good and is complex enough to still feel like wine. Nellie says it's ok. Bri likes it too.

This limpid, straw-colored Riesling, bottled under screwcap, was opened, poured and serially tasted over a three-hour period. Fully opening within the first 30 minutes, it offers an intense aromatic array of tangerines, kiwi, white peaches, rose petals and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied, imperceptibly alcoholic (7.0%), moderately sweet and with beautiful balancing acidity, it delivers flavors mirroring the aromas and stays solid on the mid-palate. Long and mouthwatering on the finish, this is a terrific Spätlese that is a dream companion to spicy Asian food. Drink now-2041.

Colour: deep gold.
Nose: complex fruits with hint of botrytis.
Sweetness was still evident but had developed a nice 'nuttiness'. Although 1971 was a fantastic year I don't think it has much longer so will drink other 3 bottles soon.

Light straw color. Crisp ripe apple and citrus, slight petrol and rubber. The sweetness is present but not overwhelming. Had with charcuterie and was great pairing. 91 points.

Bottled under screwcap, this straw-colored white was opened, poured and serially tasted over the ensuing two hours. Immediately expressive and without reductive notes, it serves up an aromatic package of lime zest, peaches, quince, diesel, jasmine and wet stones. Medium-bodied, crisply acidic, mildly sweet and with imperceptible alcohol (8.0%), it delivers flavors in line with the nose. Solid in the middle and long on the finish, this is a delicious Riesling that shows an impeccable acid/sugar balance. Enjoy it over the next couple of decades. Drink now-2041.

Good solid example of a less-expensive Mosel Riesling; excellent QPR. Certainly not the most vibrant or complex Riesling but definitely pleasant with good varietal character.

On the nose melon, apricot and a faint hay funk. Fairly sweet and effervescent. Taste of tropical fruit with the same hay flavors as in the nose. Refreshing but a bit sweet

Light yet gripping. Excellent sense of variety in place, including stone fruit, dried tropical fruits, citrus, and steeliness. Noteworthy acid, clean, and lifted. The crisp and zingy finish lingers a long while.
